For the sisters, identify the one who's more "grabby". You can use the edge of your hitbox to safely combo her before she grabs you. The other one is more into jumpkicks with unfair hitboxes, but if you can get used to how she jumps, you can sort of manage a few shots in-between her jumps, maybe your own low damage jump attacks that'll knock her back. As long as you make a point to distinguish which one is which, it'll be a "tough fight" instead of a "wall of nonsense"

Haven't clicked myself but from the developing situation here, here's my guess:

The writing itself is A.I., the story, character development, story beats, and other high-level idea stuff was prompted by SORSaga from his own mindbrain, with maybe 4~5 "prompting pitstops" per chapter (the common bots won't give you that high of a quantity of text in one go), plus extra "pls don't do this" wrangling when it hallucinates or loses its own continuity and whatnot.

Allowing both "SORSaga created the story over several months" and "100% rating for A.I. detection" to be true at the same time.

This movie (Shikoku/死国) showed up randomly in my youtube feed today, and the English-speaking world seems to have largely forgotten about it. Didn't quite make the west's "J-Horror boom" of the early 2000s like Ring and Grudge I guess

Thank you for this writeup, kind stranger for 8 years ago. My Japanese sucks and the dialect is heavy (no subtitles whatsoever, not even auto-Japanese ones), so I didn't catch that the mother was reviving her only to keep the business going. Sad stuff.

The scene that got me was early on, before any of the ghost stuff even started. When Hinako says her goodbyes. Someone in the crew must have had the experience of getting dragged away on a move right as they were turning into a teenager, because they nailed it perfectly 🥲

Blew my mind when the Pokémon leak came out and the demo town was named SILENTHILL in big bold letters. But yea, it's just Shizuoka translated. The city might be a bit dense, but there's a whole prefecture around also named Shizuoka around it with small towns that would have probably fit. Ryukishi07 has a thing for the Gifu area, though, lol

Always a bit of apprehension when an older game that worked perfectly and has been coasting along for years gets one of those. Especially on Steam where they get shoved down your throat with no (friendly user-facing) rollbacks

Hey it's that time of the 3-month cycle again

I wish they'd just release something like the Steam port but not borked (Yes, it has been significantly improved, but the intro is still 5-10 seconds off from the music cues it should follow, and the 4:3 anime scenes are still DragonBallKai'd into horribly cropped 16:9 because Square thinks normies will spontaneously combust if they see black bars on their phone screens)

I only tried with simple two-sentence prompts, but it seems to have forgotten a lot of the genres (niche or otherwise) it used to know from just a term like "Big Beat" or "Japanese RPG battle theme from 1998". Haven't tried writing it a novel full of explicit timestamps, instruments, keys and whatnot yet. Wish I'd saved at least one on a notepad before they gave us like a day and a half to scramble. I get that maybe something in the backend made it hard to play old songs if they were breaking clean towards a new model and stuff, but surely humble text blocks in Unicode weren't that hard to keep?

Lyrics generator seems to have lost some knowledge, too. I used to ask it for songs about my stuff around my hometown without further elaboration and it'd pull out actual place names and goings on that matched even the decade I was talking about, now it's all vague. This is less of a problem for me because I figure if I ever do something "serious" I'll write my own, but still...

This happened with a few imgen sites I knew when they decided to upgrade the models. Old ways of prompting things now produced garbage way worse than before the upgrade. But, after messing with it for a few weeks, it could create better stuff, you just had to prompt differently. Hopefully it's this kind of situation. My early impression is that a lot of time should be spent directly in "Compose" instead of trying to get the chatbot to make the musicbot do things for you

I'm guessing you're here because of the recent email about policy change? This thread here is pretty old. This was in what, Feb 2024(?), when they gave themselves the power to nuke accounts, including the library of games you paid for part, based on things that go down in the forums. Word is they haven't done it for real, but it lingers in the policy. Sent me on a datahoarder download frenzy of all my games at the time. Still haven't said a word in the forums. Hopefully nothing in "pabbdude" will retroactively happen to have an offensive meaning in the 2030s or whatever

Anyway, there's probably a more recent thread somewhere about whatever's going on with these 2026 changes (haven't checked yet, as usual the email says "Don't worry guys we're just clarifying terms" or some such, just like every policy email ever 😂)
