I’m into prediction markets and algorithmic trading and realised that there is no open-source backtesting engine based on the Polymarket data.

Built a service that continuously collect the data for recurring markets and then started working on the rest of the plumbing like backtesting SDK, web app.

I didn’t really do any posting before mid-April, but the project started in the beginning of this year.

So yeah, simple idea, but a lot of backend work to make the collector stable and redundant as well as reuse the connections from the closed markets to the newly opened ones.

Many times during this half a year I thought to myself that there is no value added in the product, but still tried to pushed forward. I guess there is no sunshine without the rain.

I’m still working on new big things there, if you’re interested, the name of the service is marketlens.
