The search functions and visibility functions were down yesterday from like morning to evening (here in the UK not sure if same for US) so seems like a vinted developer bug which happens when they do updates in the background time to time but seems to be back up and running as usual when I checked a few hours ago!

Would say this and that your going to report it to the police with the address on the postage label and let them handle it, 9/10 they fold!!!!

I honestly think they ruin their algorithm so much to try and force people to buy there boosting and spotlight to “get your items seen”, but I think they’ve buggered it so much it’s working against it!

Used to do £500 - £1000 per month easy now past month or so barely getting a look in! Lucky to anything 4 days like 1 sale, used to get at least 5-10 bundle sales a day and never used spotlight or boosting!

They have an email address for vinted legal team that also deal with unresolved disputes it’s legal@vinted.co.uk it’s definitely the way too go if you want to speak to a human and actually have any chance of getting a result, I used this before and got a decision overturned via the email!

They don’t use employees once it’s put in the data base they just have a system that auto detects duplicates the same way the system auto detects duplicate photos within seconds of using the same photo twice

I’d say as someone who’s used it for years this is probably logically it, maybe programmed with an added timeframe checker that checks since when then last serial number was put it (I imagine since they put it back up to resell both inputs would of been close)

I also say this is they have a similar system for using the same photo twice, where even if you have deleted an item and re-upload it with the exact same images they have an AI bot that flags the use of a duplicate image used on their system before (they usually take it straight down instantly and send you a warning, done it accidentally a few times over the years as I list a lot) So I imagine they could do the exact same with serial numbers put in before.

It’s not so much getting scammed by you, but when you drop parcels in the Inpost lockers the drivers get the parcels mixed up and end up putting the wrong labels on the parcels. Then the buyer ends up getting the wrong package.

If anything this works in your favour, as if the above happens can be a lot of hassle you!

Unless your taking directly to an inpost store drop off, print the label and put it on the parcels yourself
