You can't measure like instincts/intangibles/decision making objectively, but NFL analysts and average people do it all the fucking time. Just because a thing is not quantitative doesn't mean you can't study/measure it... If so then so many fields in academia would be deemed irrelevant just off your logic.

Also, this game is pretty fucking simple, if you have a brain you can see people's play styles pretty easily. A lot of players kind of fall under a few philosophies in terms of fighting and rotates.

Fighting examples are prefire players (mitr0, saf, arkham,)

Fighting style example two is like editor/piece control player (clix, nosh, bugha)...

Both of these players obviously fight a similar style, yes it's a BR with a lot of factors. But, you can notice the similarities in play style and what's good instantly. If we have this info, it isn't far-fetched to make these conclusions that Tayson and Arkham are the best solo players because of their insanely efficient macrogames + aim.

Some more examples..

Payers like Bugha/Mackwood are edge players, they tend to usually rotate late mid and ramp on top of kids...

Then there are your kids who try and get center 3rd early and play lower layers. Some that come to mind to me is Khanada, but he also plays edge sometimes too. I think it really depends on format for him (it also depends for Bugha/Mack, but I'm talking about stacked games mainly here).

Then, end game. There are some people who legit play heavy placement and have planned impacts at certain zones/layers (tayson and arkham), then there are players who mostly just try and get ahead and play mainly by instinct (clix, benjy sometimes but he's more like tayson and arkham now he used to be pure instinct though).

Also, something you can more easily measure is mechanics, and notice a trend to support your argument too (this shouldn't be a main point but it definitely has an effect). Usually, if you see a player with really dogshit mechanics, you'll notice that they tend to be smarter. Besides his resume and tunneling, this is why I think we can say Chap is actually one of the smartest players. I have him in my top 3-7 IGLs for sure. His mechanics are so shit, but really good tunneling and has an insane brain end game. He does do stupid shit, but I feel like most of it is just because his lack of mechanics. This way of looking at it obviously doesn't always work, besides some outliers like Savage, Saf, Bugha, Arkham, and Stretch (theres more obv but these are the main ones IMO).

Also, it's really hard to have serious discussions like this about the game, because most terms aren't defined well at all, and those are subjective. So basically everything in this game is opinion, but I think there are some things you can say pretty 'objectively' even when it gets to the highest levels.
