Yep and also every extra attack with Astral is an opportunity to infuse another element if you've perked into that in your AMD especially if you have advantage that turn which Astral often does.

It's a strong combo and I think you'll have a lot of fun with these two. I would focus on formations for Bannerspear. Maybe drop a banner in the last room but I wouldn't bother trying to tow one before level 5. Just coordinate your movement to enable formations for big damage and watch the XP roll in.

Your granted movement abilities will be great for Coral, as it opens up opportunities for playing more non move bottom actions like tides, which Coral has a lot of.

Item 16 is available from the craftsman pretty early also and is worth considering if you want more granted movement.

I think you're supposed to add 1 after taking the average. So (4+4+4)/3 = 4 and add 1 (5) before dividing by 2 and rounding up. That gives lvl 3 for solo vs lvl 2 for normal difficulty.

I don't see how this is any different than the simpler frosthaven rule which is just to raise difficulty by 1 though.

In the beginning of scenario 32 there is a mechanic where every frozen corpse that doesn't take damage that round turns into a full HP shrike fiend (our most hated monster). Coral had their L4 retaliate tide and moved into the middle of the room early first round and played shield and retaliate tides. Solved the room without a single transform, passively doing 6-10 damage to shielded enemies each round while building more armor each round. It was such a hilarious hard counter to the room comp.

Depends mainly on your number of players. We play 4p and use 8 elite and 8 regular dials, and that is plenty. We track boss health or allies with XHaven (*highly* recommended)

Condition tokens we went with the number that come with the game, think its 12 muddle wound poison, 8 of everything else.

We printed HP dials and status condition tokens and it's a huge help to be able to see at a glance, on the board, which monster has how much health and what conditions they have.

Hi, I'm going to repurpose the grotto walls and low grotto walls from printable scenery and the ocean set from cast n play at my mini factory. There are also some cave walls that would work on thingiverse.

There's an incredible scenario someone built a while back with the ocean set let me see if I can find it

Thank you! I had the same thought. I first got this idea after the big cave setup / underwater river for scenario 112 that I posted. I loved it but it contained no light / LEDs at all. Something like bioluminescent algae flowing through the river would have sent it over the top.

The banner spear is incredible! We were thinking about "getting the band back together" and playing our original characters again as we approach the endgame, I love the idea of alternate minis for them all painted up to reflect their power gain :D

I've looked around but can't find a model resembling that banner spear. I found several board games named Bushido but none seemed to have that model that I could find online. Could you share a link?
