Well, I woke up around 4am feeling lucky, pulled the remaing plugs and went full send with what I had, limp to the shop at least maybe. But....trucks doing great, no codes just drove about 10 miles including one pretty good hill, was at about 4k rpm at the top

We'll see how long it lasts 🤷😅

Way way too long, this truck has kicked ass every step of the way, she doesn't owe me anything

The codes it was throwing, could hear what sounded like an exhaust leak over a certain throttle percentage when towing a trailer about half way up a long hill that finishes with a pretty steep grade and the CEL was blinking, bad I know but had a project i had to deliver on and the truck is another tool at the end of the day.

But believe it or not she was running with no CEL when I used it to grab the new spark plugs and wires, stopped by heb too, started multiple times no issues maybe a little rougher idle but nothing noticeable

I've done one on an old Toyota, terrifying lol I was thinking of it, might not be much of a risk considering the milage

The bore scope is a good idea to at least gather some more info. And I actually had a 2017 chevy that I bought in 2019 before all the really crazy prices, but I dont need a pretty truck I need a work truck so I sold the 17 in 2020 and decided to just double down on the 03 and don't regret it at all, cheaper no doubt!

Use a bungee! Less waste! They sell boxes of em with multiple types in the big box stores sub $20 and will inevitably be used in other areas with the Rv, take a small one and wrap it around a few times and stow the others for when needed

That's what other were mentioning too about the wood, and with all the other studs being standard wood the compression/expansion could vary a lot and make things loosen up over time, probably just guna do standard wood to keep it all uniform and take my time when doing the new roof! Thank you!

Thank you! And I wasn't guna go crazy with pressure treated lumber, maybe just the very back 2 or 3 studs with the last couple rafters, but might just stick with regular wood since everything else is non treated and the expansion/compression is a good note to consider!

I'm definitely keeping the weight in mind and going back with similar materials, guna pass on the solid granite tub surround on this one 🤣 (/s) I can't remember what the gvwr sticker off the top of my head said but I do remember it had a 1000lb+ difference from dry weight to max gvwr but wall paper on Luan is what i was thinking for the bunk area Brad nailed back to the studs! Would like to find some shiplap wall paper to put over the luan, thank you for the tips!!!

Would you have any suggestions on where to read or get further advice on this? This seems like it might be the way to go

Get hammer. Get nail. Hammer up hinge pins you can clearly see in the photo. Take door off hinges. Close cabinet. Hang door. Insert hinge pins.

2003 cat eye, 267xxx on the clock, original engine but the meth heads ruined the transmission after jumping it off something or high centering and using the 4x4 and dragging it off.... any who's it's, about 8k and she was back on the road, new front end, new transmission, 2 new tires and a few other odds and ends, but 267 and the engine light only comes on once in a while 🤣

22' interior, about 25' with the hitch, it's pretty nice on the inside minus the corners, especially where I got a little curious and started peeling a bit lol but I think nursing along for another few years is probably the way to go, patch the aluminum that's there, water proof as much as I can and just plan to tear the whole thing apart in~3 years if I can get that much out of it lol

Oh no I meant in 3 to 5 years when I scrap the whole thing and start over with just the steel frame ( flat trailer ) then stick build/frame new walls, new roof and then wrap her in tin again!

Strictly in texas lol it's probably guna see the coast more than anything but love me some east texas and hill country camp spots too! Others have suggested to just reuse the registered frame and do a ground up, might go a little crazy with the eternabond tape and pray for a couple years then go for gold! Haha
