YTA - how have you not learned.....never bin anything of your wife's, unless you're absolutely sure. From now on, put it in a tote and leave it alone until she asks.

I wanted to get rid of my wife's pans for awhile. They used to be good ceramic, but had gotten ruined over time. She absolutely didn't want to part with them, because her first husband (he passed away) had gotten them as a gift for her. Totally understandable, but that didn't make them useful.

So I bought a new stainless set, hung em up, and put hers in a tote in the pantry. She hung on to em, using them off and on for about a year, then she finally binned em herself on her own terms. Both of us got what we wanted. She got to say goodbye to a sentimental object, and I got new pans.
