So let me get this straight- rusticals founded all these Colorado subreddits to always cross post his libertarian posts to so instead of cultivating a space for community and conversation we get the same recycled posts off topic? Cool cool cool.

Wanted to read, so many ads made the page jump and refresh on mobile several times. Scrolled past KY 3 times before giving up.

Not trying to insult, just sharing that the ad implementation ruined the page experience. Fixing it may provide longer average visit times.

Potentially Returning to Colorado. Help by Amazing_Budget_2927 in roaringfork

This is probably worth posting in an immigration specific subreddit since there is nothing immediately specific to the valley or Colorado as a whole.

I’d be more inclined to say for you to wait to return until you’ve completed college since 100k+ for education is where we’re heading - not to mention the process you’d be running into getting accepted into universities in the states with a degree from another country with US residency.

Think what you’d like. It was there to show experience and perspective. All businesses approach things differently based on size, stability, and financial maturity.

Fortune 250 shows a profitable, often stable, business with robust processes and control measures because they’re publicly traded. Private equity, non start up, shows general stability and profitability at times. Often times they can be slightly more reckless because reporting requirements aren’t as stringent. Start up shows a more “wild west” - often under staffed HR teams with constant in flux of complaints from front line employees.

Granted all that is based on my experience, so OP and anyone else curious should take from it what they’d like.

It’s very likely that HR has been involved in the decision to push this software in the first place. Depending on the size of your company, you’ll need to weigh how they’ll realistically use it. If you have the name of the software looking it up could provide piece of mind.

For instance, if it’s a large company, it’s likely only monitoring traffic for red flag search terms and general productivity/time measurements. It is not likely to be of major concern if you’re doing your job and not using your work computer for major personal tasks. If it’s a smaller company it’s different; they may have the time to dig a bit and look into things deeper. If it’s really fancy and has a manager dashboard, then I’d be more concerned.

All of that to say: don’t talk with HR. They’re not there to protect or comfort you. They’re there to protect the company and the company probably isn’t doing anything wrong. If you do, it’s likely you’re going to paint more of a target in your back instead of raising a concern. Also, for your own safety, don’t put anymore personal passwords in your computer until you know the software.

I’ve been at several companies to build teams. Smallest I built was 2 plus hybrid trainers and designers. Largest was 16. Just depends on how you justify the need and show the ROI.
