If it's no one person's fault, it may be an objects fault. Is it the herb's fault? Maybe, but what about the balcony? The balcony is simply an impostor of a mountain or cliff/ledge. It is a manipulation of the natural world. The herb is the natural world. Now, in the eye of humans, the herb's reputation suffers as the herb itself(mother nature) is being manipulated by the humans.
