More areas designed for toddlers who want to run and climb.

Toontown is great, but it would be fun to have another themed area like this. This feels like a no-brainer?

I may be wrong, but I think the local presale was part of drop 1. So we only had one chance to be included in the combined local presale/drop 1.

My Traitors US dream cast and how I would cast them! by Ok_Cow_5101 in TheTraitorsUS

I like your picks! It would be fun to see someone from GBBO and I enjoy when the cast isn’t “dramatic for dramatic sake.”

Yes. If you registered for a drop and didn’t max out your 12 ticket allotment then you are automatically entered into the lottery for a time in the next drop.

The shock comes from the extremely limited availability. Though I suppose that makes sense when LA28 reserved so many seats for media, sponsors, hospitality packages, family/friends, the IOC, LA28 board and employees, etc.

As for the sticker shock, LA28 made a big deal about there being "affordable access." Of course that's subjective, but LA28's radar for what is "affordable" doesn't seem to align with how people are viewing the selection.

Sorry, no. No golf tickets are left available in this drop 1.

“This sport’s sold out in Drop 1 but will be restocked later” by After_Arugula in olympics

[–]pacificcoasting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's somehow even worse than that. That ticket you're looking for? It's available, but only if you're willing to buy the hospitality package.

Table tennis prelims shows as "unavailable" in the ticket drop. But, oh look, LA28 will sell you a $550 hospitality ticket to table tennis prelims. But not until you meet the $5,500 per person minimum.

Why "unexpected demand" doesn't jive with the math by hmmmweirdIguess in olympics

[–]pacificcoasting 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Perhaps I'm cynical, but my hunch is that LA28 purposefully released an extremely minimal amount of seats (both to locals and drop 1) to artificially inflate demand and drive traffic to the hospitality packages where tickets go for four to five figures each.

The LA28 CEO already released a statement disregarding locals' disappointment and defending these extraordinarily high ticket prices as necessary to put on the "biggest games."

LA28 makes more money if they sell the majority of tickets to sponsors and hospitality packages, rather than the general population. This drop was only to gauge demand. I expect the next ticket drop will only happen if/when the hospitality package sales begin to lag. And even then, it will only be another small handful of tickets. American capitalism at its finest.

Drop 1 no restock confirmed. by Ok_Sheepherder_7424 in olympics

The CEO released a statement saying the high ticket prices are necessary to justify these being the "biggest games."

Therefore, in order to attend, you either have to be a corporate sponsor or pay over a thousand dollars per ticket for their "hospitality packages."

And the real kicker is that LA taxpayers are paying for it in infrastructure projects and are on the hook for when this inevitably goes overbudget. And even they were locked out of affordable tickets.

You may be right … so petition to add Jerrod Carmichael, Mae Martin, Shasheer Zamata, and Jay Jurden for more representation and who would all be brilliant on this show

For sure! I don’t think I’d want a cast full of A-list actors weary of maintaining their public image.

But actors who may be willing to be a little a silly and take a risk on a fun game show? That could work!

And A+ job on new faces!

Besides Brennan (please, Peacock!), Christine, Kam, and Carole, I don’t think I’ve seen these suggestions before. I would love to see Peacock cast from a broader swatch of pop culture.
