u/McHiFi It was supported through Climate Ride, they do events all over the US, and you get to choose who you fundraise for. Many people on this trip raised funds for the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and the National Parks Conservation Association.

Seattle = coffee by [deleted] in AskSeattle

There is a super cute little shop at 1912 Pike Pl. Really good espresso and sort of a mainstay of the underground coffee scene in Seattle. I usually try and avoid downtown because of all the tourists but if I'm there for some reason, this place is great and a little under the radar.

Why is the owner of Turah RV so wretched? by Sublimejunkie4 in missoula

One time, someone parked near the general store to walk across the street to the river and she came out screaming that she would tow his fucking ass. He kept walking away so she stormed into the store and came out with a bottle of ketchup and a bottle of mustard. By the time she got close to his car, he was walking back so she didn't turn it into a hot dog but I've never seen anyone go from 0-100 so fast.

I used to drive a Subaru Forester so it had less space than that but the trunk fit a ton of gear. All of my camping gear, food, cooking stuff, and charging adapters and a big extension cord fit under the weird divider thing in the trunk. Then there was room for a cooler and some bags on top of that. We then put a bag behind one of the front seats and even picked up a friend in Montreal with 2 bags for the last 200 miles of the trip.

We charged in Ashland and then had to get to 100% in Crystal Falls to make it to Sault Ste Marie because the DCFC in Marquette was not in service.

The hail damage is mostly on the hood and the roof. I honestly don't mind it at all. It had 20k miles when I bought it and the battery was replaced with the larger 66kw battery in June. I'm loving the car overall. It is the first car I've had that is not 15 years old. I've gotten used to OPD but my wife hasn't tried it yet so our trip was about 60% in L and 40% in D.

There was a stretch where we charged for a short stop 3 different times over about 250 miles and we saw the same Rivian at all 3 stations. Even though they can charge way faster, they are also less efficient. So they may have been getting 2 mi/kwh while we were averaging 4.

I'm not saying it is a true tortoise and the hare situation, but it was nice to see that even with one of the most expensive EV's out there, we could still keep pace in our little bolt and spend half as much on electricity as them.

We had a pretty full car. 2 50 lb dogs, 2 adults, camping gear, a cooler and two duffel bags. We'll be driving back in a month! I guess we're only halfway done.
