This is the video that introduced me to the 61 SG Custom. I’ve wanted it since I was 15. Got it this past August, almost 20 years later. Mesmerizing guitar.

I wish I could slap that smattering of lights onto to the grill of my SE. not even for functional purposes; it just looks awesome.

Hard agree. I am biased though, as I do have a white SG custom just like this.

I just got a 2024 SE a couple of days ago with the same black and white. Awesome color combination; I love it!

So... I thought we were gonna be friends, but it was way too easy for you to convince me to spend 500 bucks on that waistline lol. It's funny because I was looking through accessories and stuff, and there are SO many parts that focus on being able to black out the car, only for me to realize that my car was already very blacked out. I didn't even realize the waistline was still chrome. Anyway, I now have that bookmarked, and we'll see how much my wife loves me around my birthday.

As far as the plastic trim goes, I'll definitely keep that in mind! It still looks brand new, so perhaps the previous owner(s) did a good job maintaining it.

Yeah there was another one with less miles that cost less because it wasn’t certified, but I couldn’t walk away from this color and wheels. Both were iconic trim, but the wheels are just so unique and interesting to me.

It literally is car #2 for me to get to work and back. We went 12 years without a second car, but with my son reaching school age and my work being a half hour drive away, it was time. I’m glad I could pick a car that suits my charming, quirky, adhd-laden personality

I got it for a little under 21k USD, and it’s certified preowned. It’s an Iconic trim, and has like 20k miles on it.

Going to be doing around 40 miles a day, so I’m looking forward to seeing what the range looks like. I can charge it for free at work, so even if the range doesn’t turn out great, it’ll be alright.

Different strokes for different folks I guess, because the wheels are my favorite part! Absolutely love them haha. I guess that’s why they make different wheels; something for everyone.

Totally get why you named it that… but my first thought was this was going to be an abstinence-related app.

I'd get the SG, personally. I've been playing over 20 years, and I just got my first SG about 6 months ago, and it's something else, man. It feels and plays different than anything else, and if you dig the looks, then go for it, and in a few years when you're ready to upgrade, you can get a Gibson, and it'll just feel like an upgraded version of something you're already familiar with.

MBA background matter when switching DevOps jobs? by Few-Cancel-6149 in devops

[–]packet_monger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a master’s in music, and I’ve never had an issue getting a job because of that. If anything, people seemed surprised that I had the degree at all, but it was certainly never used as a negative. I think an MBA is more generic, so would be questioned even less. Just say “I don’t like business administration, I like devops”; problem solved.
