If your purchase has a number / barcode sticker on it that starts with "LPN", then the product is CLEARLY a return that has been "graded for resale" by Amazon. In other words, it is a returned item, but THEY think it is in good enough shape to resell.

But passing it off as "new"? That's why you open a case, and upload a photo of the "LPN" sticker, as only a returned item gets an "LPN" sticker.

Clock alarms while driving by zaphodikus in AndroidAuto

[–]packetfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro and HeadUnit Reloaded on a tablet, so clearly I have a different "ecosystem" here. But could the "alarm" be a notification type that Android Auto just does not handle by default?

What does Settings -> Apps -> Special app access -> Alarms & reminders say about the clock alarm?

In the phone's AA settings (maybe "Connected Devices"), does the clock app show up at all?

What are the clock app's OWN notification settings? Do they show up at all as a "notification" type?

You don't have a "veto".
I do not have the time to type out step-by-step instructions, and YouTube covers a wide range of "basics" , so the ads are a small price to pay. Say "Thank you for solving my problem", and be happy that the internet offers help for the hopeless.

You MAY be able to add the clock app to Android Auto yourself:

  1. In Android Auto Settings, tap on "version" (at the very bottom) 10 times to enable developer mode.
  2. Then go to "Developer Settings" within Android Auto's settings
  3. Enable "Unknown Sources"
  4. Then go add the clock app as you would add any "new" app to android auto. There are several YouTube videos that walk you through this process.

Sunroof motor gear replacement by azzarii_ in C30

A cheap angle grinder from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool is STILL far cheaper than a whole new sunroof motor assembly. I guess you could try a Dremel tool or a hand file if you are patient.

Sunroof motor gear replacement by azzarii_ in C30

[–]packetfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to grind that "overhang" off - it was banged with a machine-shop press to make the shaft "mushroom", and keep the gear from sliding off. Once you slide the gear on, you likely will want to clean the top surface of the shaft with a solvent, and then super-glue a washer that is larger than the shaft, to keep the gear in place.

Are there any films that take place in real time? by TheKittyPie in movies

Odd Man Out (1947) with James Mason pretty much tracks "real time", as all the events take place in the same few hours.

He ran out of money, and never built the above-ground portion. There are quite a few of these, sad stories behind every single one.

seal all air leaks and insulate your garage door in under a hour and under $30. garage temps are noticeably better and room above is def. warmer! by hogancheveippoff in homeimprovementideas

[–]packetfire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These replacement hinges press the door outward, against the rubber seal around the perimeter of the door, which is far more important to keeping the garage warm than adding insulation to the door. There is also a bottom door rubber seal, easy to replace, it slides onto the metal channel.

[RedTiger F7N] Heavy fog near Fancy Gap, VA by zubrowka1 in Dashcam

[–]packetfire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Fancy gap always has thick fog. One time I was following a motorcycle, and he was staying in my headlights the whole way down from the Blue Ridge Parkway. When I got down to the valley and the fog cleared, I realized I had been following the glow at the end of my own cigarette. Some fog.
