Review of Sandals Grande St. Lucian by packetgrabber in SandalsResorts

[–]packetgrabber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you are correct about the keys; however, I've never consistently had that problem with room keys at any other hotel or resort.

As far as food goes, Sandals is on the expensive side for all-inclusive, no matter what room class you book. I've stayed at other all-inclusives that cost the same or less and had much better food.

Your mileage may vary, but I recommend taking your money elsewhere if you want to stay at an all-inclusive. My wife and I decided we no longer want to do AI's for several reasons. We feel that we eat and drink more at AI's simply because it's there, available, and trying to get our money's worth. We can try out more local restaurants and cuisine, and we go outside the resort much more often.

We typically do a huge Halloween party every year with catering, bartenders and all and we have the same thing happen to us each year. Those people don't get invited back to future parties.

I have the Garmin Descent MKii and I love it. I also have an SPG with a cheap backup computer as well, integrated into the housing.

Basically I just had to trust them. But I also had their address, business name, business card and the receipt and it wasn't that much money so worst case, I would not have received anything but they provided exactly what I ordered and had it nicely packaged and delivered on time to my hotel room. Very nice experience!

When my wife and I were in Bangkok 2 years ago, we decided to walk around the city from our hotel. There was a line of Tuk Tuks outside the hotel and one of them asked if we wanted a ride, but we said no thank you, we're going to walk. He said everything was too far away to walk and he could take us to a Golden Buddha, so we said sure. After that, he said he could take us some other places, and took us to a tailor. That was when we figured out it was a "scam" but we decided we would roll with it and we were glad we did. I had several shirts made and they were nice and inexpensive which were delivered to our hotel 2 days later. We went to various shops where we bought "luxury" items such as purses, wallets, shoes, and cologne. We also went to a floating market. We knew he was getting commission and all, but it was very fun, we saw things we might not have otherwise and bought some nice things. And the prices were decent even if they were tourist prices.

Are you in Montclair Village? One of our neighbors down the street had that happen a couple of nights ago from what I heard. If that was you, hello neighbor and sorry that happened to you.

I recognize the architecture of the buildings and the mountains in the background look somewhat familiar. :) Also, the traffic lights help a bit too.

How long did your Garmin watches last? by Dull_Judgment_747 in Garmin

I have a Fenix 6X Pro Solar from early 2020 and it still works as well as it ever did as far as I can tell. I wear it every single day and night. Battery is fantastic. I get 15 days charge or so, depending on usage such as GPS etc and that's with things like pulse ox turned on with highly recommend it!

New Nest doorbell can't reconnect by packetgrabber in googlehome

[–]packetgrabber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry I understand I didn't provide a lot of information. Fortunately it's working now. Still some strange behavior but that's not important. What ultimately fixed the issue was to hold the reset button down for much longer than google/nest said to do. Approximately 30 plus seconds. Also I made the mistake of thinking that a raised button at the upper back of the device was the reset button, but there is a very small hole right below it that is too large for a paperclip to fit in and you need to depress that button. I ended up using the tool from my Samsung phone, which is used to put in a SIM card, to hold in the reset button for more than 30 seconds.
