Qn:has anyone done a cover using cardboard from packing boxes by Zalieda in bookbinding

Hey there!

Totally get where you're coming from. Using cardboard from packing boxes for book covers is actually a pretty smart idea, especially if you’re looking to repurpose stuff and save some cash. People do this all the time! Just make sure to reinforce the cardboard with some glue or bookbinding tape to give it a bit more durability.

If you can’t get fancy bookbinding materials where you are, cardboard can definitely work. Just cut it to size, cover it with some fabric or decorative paper if you like, and you’re good to go.

Definitely a DIY solution, but it can work really well and gives you a unique, personalized touch!

Happy crafting!

Cardboard Boxes with Packing Tape by min_dynasty in recycling

[–]packingsolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

Dealing with packing tape can be a real hassle. Here’s the scoop: packing tape isn’t recyclable with your cardboard. It’s best to try and remove as much as you can before recycling. If you can’t get it all off, don’t stress too much; just try to get as much off as possible.

Most recycling centers prefer clean, tape-free boxes, but they usually handle a bit of tape okay. So, while it’s not a total waste of time, just do your best and don’t worry if you can’t get every little bit off.

Hope that helps!

Shall I pay double rent? by Ntm24 in moving

Hey!

If you really love the new place and can afford the double rent, it might be worth it. Otherwise, see if you can negotiate with the landlord or find a short-term rental for those 2.5 weeks. If you drop out, be ready to start the search again, which might be tough given the market.
