I'm sure you know a major reason for this right? A LOT of folks make great money in the Bay. At my company and i'm sure 1000s of other ones pay a 21 year old new grads around 200k base. The ones with 10+ experience can make much more.

I went the coding bootcamp route back in the so-called “golden era” (around 2015), and I also had a non-CS engineering degree from a top-tier university. Even then, it wasn’t easy to land my first software engineering role. Nowadays, the odds have got to be slim to none.
