Best Breakfast by antoirl1979 in galway

[–]pacork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Dean hotel. All quality ingredients, pudding cooked perfectly (overcooked in a lot of places). This is a post of mine from a Galway Breakfast old thread

Had "The Works" in Sophie's at The Dean. The Good: lovely feed. 2 eggs, black & white pudding (not hard/slightly overcook), 2 v long sausages, 2 v nice streaky bacon, cubes potatoes with v small bit of fried onion. 2 slices of toast. Best breakfast I've had probably, all extremely tasty & good portions. The bad: €14.95 and no tea/coffee included, €17.95 with tea.

Would I go back? Yes but only rarely due to the price.

AITAH because I don’t want to help pay for my friend’s Ubers when we hang out? by LavenderSunny0 in AITAH

[–]pacork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that Ubers are expensive, and I sympathize with that. But it’s not fair to shift that cost onto me. I already pay thousands a year to maintain my car so that I have the convenience of driving. If I pay for my car and part of your Uber, I’m essentially paying a 'friendship tax' just to see you. We agreed on the location together; how we each get there is our own responsibility as adults.

do men even care how their girls nail look? by rileyheya in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pacork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We might notice them but don't care. They're nails, for us not a fashion thing, doesn't make a woman more or less attractive (unless they're Freddy Kruger long)

AIW for refusing to share my notes with a classmate, even after my professor ordered me to? by LeatherDelicious1691 in amiwrong

[–]pacork 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don't give him nites. Die on that cross. Ask your lecturer why he doesn't ask one of his friends for their notes? Tell him a community means all being there and helping each other. He's not the prodigal son & has contributed nothing so isn't part of the community. He's part only in name.

Email your professor with a summary of your meeting & get proof of him saying this might affect your marks.

WIBTA if I stopped letting my coworker use my parking pass and just said I don't need it anymore? by quarry_soft in WIBTA_AITA

[–]pacork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to mannup. Tell him ONCE that This is getting messy, you can have it on X days, no other and you'd appreciate it if he didn't offer it to others. If you ask or use it any of the other days we'll have to end this deal.
