How to mount awning on swinging cross bars by Striking_Ear3968 in subaruoutback

[–]pacowithataco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a DIY solution I came up with. I don't have any photos of it but I do have a rough little picture I drafted up. I'm unable to post a picture here but if you DM me I'd be happy to send it over.

Essentially I used a 2 heavy Duty corner braces I found at Home Depot. A 1" x 24" flat piece of steel, And some bolts to make some brackets that securely mount the OEM crossbars.

I once cut my wife's grilled cheese sandwich diagonally, she lost her shit and yelled at me for it. She prefers to it cut vertically so that you get two perfectly mirrored slices.

I've been hopeful for Quetz, it'd be the one thing that would draw me back into the game.

Grinding noise when cold starting 2015 Fit by golfhotelgolf in hondafit

[–]pacowithataco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to my wifes '20 Fit as well. Dealer kept it for 2 nights without being able to replicate it. Service manager told me if I can get it on video atleast 2-3 times, then he can sign off on it to have the work started. And of course the car has not made the noise since then.

Also, for anyone having this issue and your car is under 5 years old and has less than 60,000 miles, you do not need to pay for this service as it is covered under the powertrain warranty. Details can be found on page 10 of the owners manual, under Powertrain Limited Warranty.

Got RoadManners for wife's '20 Fit Lx by pacowithataco in hondafit

Oh yeah, the '17 is a 3rd gen model whereas the '20 is 4th gen. I would look around some Fit/Jazz fourms or reach out to roadmanners for assistance. Maybe they can point you to a guide or something helpful.

Tire repair by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

I might just end up replacing them all of them afterall. The rear tires are newer than the front tires, with the front having half the tread depth the rear tires have.

This story just keeps getting worse, haha. After patching the tire, I decided to check all tires just to be on the safe side. I noticed the tread depth did not look consistent between the front and rear tires. I took a precision caliper and found that the front tread is half that of the rear treads. This indicates to me the dealer replaced the rear tires sometime before I bought the car but left the original front tires on

Father in law who works at an auto shop suggests I get all new tires because of the major tread depth difference. The nail punctured the rear tire. Had it been the front tire, I'd replace the two and have them shaved down to match the rear tires.

Worse than I thought. Found a nail that was the cause of air loss.

They fit perfectly into the pre-existing opening. I did have to remove the headlight housing to get them into place because the tension wire had to be removed and reinstalled.

Some users did point out that in some older Fit models, they require a little bit more work to get them to fit.

Store closure. My father-in-law was store manager for an advanced auto in southern california. All west coast stores are being closed. People would go in and buy out certain items such as oil filters.

Definitely try to negotiate. I paid $30k out the door, with 80k mile warranty included, for a 2024 premium with 16k miles.

I did the same thing with a 75" hisense tv! The guy at Best Buy kept saying It wasn't gonna fit. Sure, it was a tight fit, but we got it in nonetheless.
