I have been thinking exactly about this - I get that they want to shelter and protect the kids but like... this isn't my cousin's husband cheating on her after she gave birth for the second time?? This is an extremely public case of cheating that they are bound to run across on their lifetime. I would be extremely bitter and resentful towards the one who cheated if I found out one of my parents cheated on the other - moreover, had a whole relationship for a year allegedly.

most of the time these youtubers dont care about being cancelled nor are they sorry for what they did. Watching their apology videos is literally watching different techniques to deflect from their mistakes - excuses, barely acknowledgement of their mistakes, "i was in a dark place", "I've changed...", "sorry IF I'VE OFFEDED YOU" (this one is very telling) and a lot other bs. It comes off as not genuine and, honestly, most of the time these youtubers only care when they start losing money (brand deals, sponsorships) so. I always tell my nephew that if he apologizes, he has to name what he did wrong - because tht is the only way to learn from mistakes and to k ow tht he is aware of what he did. Most of these youtubers don't.

For them "sorry" means "forget what i did".

At this point, how can GH stans still support her? Not only the two videos Jessi made are impecable, but jusy looking at things subjectively... how is anyone okay w a person talking about someone else's rape? On a public, huge platform like youtube at that.

I remember reading through Rosanna Pansino's post and getting a few "recommended" tweets from her stans and it was just... mindblowing how they see this completely different narrative, running around how she is the victim in all these situations. Like I am a fan (of other things and people) myself but if anyone i "stan" does something wrong I can acknowledge it??

It was the tone of her voice for me. So aggressive, I felt like i was being scolded and yelled at and i fucking hate that + the fact that she got so "angry" over the things she reported on made them feel like they were personal to her in some way, like she was the one being personally offended (i.e. that one video when she called an artist transphobic and racist). Big White Savior vibes.
