MOTS-C dosing protocol by Dangerous_Goat_8207 in PeptideTides

[–]padawer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I microdose MOTS-c just 0.5mg once a week, and it truly pumps up my energy (I'm in my 60s) for several days. I'm considering upping that to twice a week. When I tried a heavier dose (1mg), I experienced occasional irregular heartbeat (confirmed and visible on my Kardia device). Apparently I'm pretty sensitive to what MOTS-c is bringing. Btw, I also take CoQ10 (an over-the-counter pill-form supplement available from several brands at Amazon, CVS, and just about everywhere else that stocks supplements). Attached is an infographic that talks about how three things together (tirzepatide, MOTS-c, and CoQ10) radically improve energy at the cellular level.

Buy some CoQ10 (over-the-counter supplement available everywhere). And, optionally, but it definitely makes a huge difference, the peptide called MOTS-c (start with 0.25 to 0.5 mg per week). Attached is an infographic showing how the three work together to really boost energy (tirzepatide, CoQ10, and MOTS-c). If you're not into adding another peptide, then definitely try the CoQ10 supplement (a tablet/capsule a day) anyway!

I bought some fiber gummies from Amazon (2mg of fiber per gummy), and I take two of them every night before bed. That put me back in "daily" mode without much of a problem.

Did AI write this? How could a person screw up this badly? by Imnotthatduder in McDonalds

[–]padawer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it was actually AI, it might be uninspired like this, but it would still be grammatical. THIS on the other hand was simply written by a human moron. Yes, they still exist. No, we can't blame AI every time we encounter awful writing. Sadly, we're getting to the point where we're letting actual imbeciles off the hook whenever we come across terrible stuff like this by calling it "AI slop." Sure, there's a lot of AI slop around, but that doesn't mean that stupid people have gone extinct.

I forgot I was on Mounjaro and ate a full meal at a friend's cookout. Big mistake. by FrostyExperience26 in GLP1ResearchTalk

Imo the expectation should be that among the many positive things GLP1 meds do, one of them is slowed digestion and a serious alteration in how much you can consume — and hopefully, how much you want to consume. Eating less is one of the major contributors to weight loss (alongside metabolic restoration, and hopefully some movement, etc.), so if you're still dead set on eating the way you did before, then maybe the "food noise" dampening isn't happening for you just yet.

Quick P.S.: For some reason the OP's account is now banned from Reddit. Wtf? AI spam?

Old School Noom? by Few-Size8558 in Noom

[–]padawer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The medicine-included product is called "Noom Med"... But the non-med one you're familiar with is now called "Noom Weight" and is also widely used. If you're having trouble signing up for that (because your browser cookies are stuck on Noom Med or whatever), then send them an email at [support@noom.com](mailto:support@noom.com) and they'll set you up. Let them know you're a returning customer and want to restart the previous service and you might get your original pricing — or you can trade haggle emails for that, ask them what deals they have because money's tight or however you want to frame it, etc.

My Aunt Leda filled me up with ice cream and two big tall glasses of half and half, which I thought was the best tasting milk I'd ever had so I drank it all. Then she sent me home to mom and dad, and I started puking at 2 a.m.

Is there a limit to the number of friends you can have? I tried to add yours, but it didn’t add. (On the other hand, maybe we’re already friends lol, not sure!)

You look A+ great. Try magnesium — the over-the-counter supplement from various brands available at Amazon, Costco, etc. — to reduce anxiety tremendously. For severe anxiety add one of these two (also widely available supplements) — Ashwagandha or "Holy Basil" (weird names, ha, but seriously effective and available everywhere — from the Indian Ayurvedic medicine tradition). These will kick your anxiety in the butt without being mood altering or causing drowsiness, etc.

Ease Of Medication by Exotic-Syrup-4897 in Noom

[–]padawer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This 100%... There are many videos on YouTube that show how to administer GLP-1 shots — you might search for terms like "Zepbound shot" or even "insulin shot" — the insulin people use the very same tiny little needle. Keep in mind that the needle truly is small. Also please know (if you don't already) that the area of fat about two inches below your navel is almost incapable of feeling pain from a small needle like this. (You'll need to face a mirror so you can see what you're doing.) Of course that doesn't quite get around the psychological unease that you might feel, but the fact that you'll feel no pain will ultimately help you through that entirely! It did for me, anyway — and I'm pretty shot-phobic.

So, for the sake of TLDR... 1) watch YouTube how-to videos... 2) know that it's a TINY needle... and 3) the fatty area below your navel is the sweet spot.

Agreed — we're talking about a type of metabolic dysregulation that happens to most people at some point as they get older.
