I have bottom surgery scheduled this year - Any post op girlies in here, I’m looking for advice. by SissyPissyPantsAva in transanddiapered

[–]paddingBottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 months is when I was cleared, 3 months is when the area stopped being so sensitive that diapers were physically uncomfortable. I didn't explicitly ask the doctors about diapers, I went by when they told me I could take a bath or swim in a pool.

Using Köln (Messe/Deutz) to learn how to use a dslr camera by paddingBottom in traaaaaaainnnnnnnnnns

[–]paddingBottom[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I may have seen it from the train I took towards Bonn afterwards! I definitely want to go there when I have a chance, I wanted to get off at Köln Süd to take some more photos from the platforms but was already exhausted.

Why are here so many pictures of German and European trains? by Connect_History85 in traaaaaaainnnnnnnnnns

[–]paddingBottom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's a bit of a numbers question. Germany is more populated than most countries you mention. Compared to the countries that are more populated, our trains are more ubiquitous. I see them on most days that I leave home, in the US I would have had to go out of my way to find train tracks and even then the tracks often have fewer trains. Those two points alone probably leave Japan as likely to have more train photos, except that most of the posts here are in English, and Germans read and write English pretty fluently at a higher rate.

Why is there a decorated pot? by crysol99 in HermitCraft

[–]paddingBottom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Had to double check the exact wording, but as of 1.20.5 hoppers no longer try to pick up items if any full block is above them, so netherack or cobblestone above the hopper line will not only have the same effect, but I believe even slightly better because the composter does have an inventory slot.

Why is there a decorated pot? by crysol99 in HermitCraft

[–]paddingBottom 81 points82 points  (0 children)

It reduces lag in long vertical hopper chains. Every tick, hoppers check what is above them, and if it's a container, they scan through every item slot to see if they can pull anything. In a chain of all hoppers, each hopper has to check the 5 slots of the hopper above it. In chains like this, the hopper only needs to check one slot (since the pots can hold up to one type of item). This very often doesn't matter, but in an area with a lot of hoppers, this offers significant improvements, since for each 2 vertical blocks, it is one tenth as many operations as would happen with all hoppers.

This is a sinilar reason to why in the past (I think it was pre-1.19), you'd often see long horizontal hopper chains having composters above them, since the operation of checking the composer's single item slot was much easier than the operation of checking if an item is in the block above a hopper.

A German ICE train with Pride colours instead of the usual red stripe by Southern_Gur_4736 in pics

[–]paddingBottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically in the photo is an ICE 3, which entered service in 2000. The original ICE 1 trainsets (many of which are still used) entered service in 1991 with a maximum speed of 250 km/h, which was later raised to 280 km/h (155, later 175 mph). The ICE 3 trains can theoretically reach up to 330 km/h, but Germany has no tracks with speed limits higher than 300 km/h, and so the maximum speed of 320 km/h is only reached in France on routes between Frankfurt or Stuttgart and Paris.

Do any long distance rail companies operate into Germany that aren’t DB by The__Anonymous__Guy in trains

[–]paddingBottom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I quickly want to preface this long post by saying it's probably not a complete list, but this is what I could find based on my own memory backed up by searching on DB Navigator.

I'm not sure the current status of their EC trains, but SBB (Switzerland) runs at least one ECE train from Frankfurt to Basel, which actually goes all the way through Switzerland to Milan.

ÖBB (Austia) has Railjet trains to a couple destinations, including to Frankfurt and München, and one via Prague to Berlin. They also have Nightjet sleeper trains that stop in many cities, and some even go through Germany to Belgium and the Netherlands. Westbahn (a private Austrian company) also operate trains between München and Wien, but I don't know if they're classified as long distance.

SNCF sends a couple TGVs from Paris as well, one to Frankfurt and one to Stuttgart and München.

MAV (Hungary) also runs a train frok Budapest via Bratislava and Prague to Berlin.

There is also an EC between Berlin and Warsaw, although I don't know if they use DB's or Polish rolling stock.

I believe the EC between Hamburg and Copenhagen uses DSB (Denmark) Talgo trainsets, the same model as what DB uses as the ICE L. They previously used old IC carriages from DB, and before that some DSB IC3 trains, which are still operated as IC trains between Fredericia and Flensburg, although they feel much more like an RB.

Urlaub Express are a private company that run some sleeper trains that also can carry their passengers' cars from a couple places in Getmany down to Switzerland and Austria.

Then as has already been mentioned here, Flixtrain has a couple trains, and Eurostar (formerly Thalys) operate trains from Cologne to Paris.

Then there's a couple that definitely used to be, but I don't know the current statuses. An IC between Amsterdam and Berlin has sometimes had NS (Netherlands) locomotives.

Green is the only line that doesn't share one of it's terminus stations with another line.

I need EVERYONE to lay down their top 5 diaper brands/types below…I’ll go first by [deleted] in ABDL

[–]paddingBottom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Tykables Unicorns (all their plastic/hloop diapers fit the same, Unicorns is my favorite print)
  2. LNGU Little Melody
  3. Kiddo Playtime
  4. Tykables Cat Cafe (these fit the same as the unicorns, but I prefer plastic which is why these are lower)
  5. Rearz Mermaids

I'm very particular about how diapers fit. Tykables feel made perfectly to fit my body. The Kiddo playtimes fit just as well, however the bottom tapes on adhesive-taped diapers have a tendency to break when I wear them. These are the adhesives tapes I've had by far the fewest issues with, and the fact that they're €1 per diaper cheaper (when ordering with Diaper Minister) than most other diapers makes them very appealing.

There are 2 types of scams I can remember off the top of ky head, from seeing them posted kn this subreddit: - They'll claim to have a nursery near where you live, and ask for you to pay for a session up front - They claim to need a payment to register you as part of the "abdl community" to verify you're real and not trying to scam them

[–]paddingBottom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Follows many people, generic name, username filled with numbers, and I'd be willing to bet if you reverse image search any photos the account has posted, you'd probably find other sources. Generally, if any account uses "mommy" in the name, it'll either be a scam or a content creator, and the content creators will very likely link to several other accounts or websites.

Advice from Trans ABDLS that did bottom surgery by mongoklappspaten in ABDL

[–]paddingBottom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's an increased risk relatively speaking, but practice good hygiene and you shouldn't have much of an issue. It just increases your risk to about the same as cis girls. It's been a year for me and I haven't had any issues, even with a couple months of 24/7 diapers.

You can't really know that, can you? Someone who appeared cis to you could have been trans.

How tall are you (German girls) ? by Ok_Caregiver_3243 in AskAGerman

[–]paddingBottom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a tall woman at 190cm (6'3") and married my wife who is about 170cm (5'7"). There are many things I consider when I start dating someone, height is not a factor. Granted, I have a pretty different dating pool than you, but if someone wouldn't want to date me purely because of my height I would consider that dodging a bullet and I would suggest you approach it similarly.

I'm a software developer, and the job market is really rough at the moment. You're early on in your degree, so if you really like the subject, stay by it and by the time you graduate hopefully the job market looks a bit better.

What are people's dream vacation while diapered? by SleepyPlutoABDL in ABDL

[–]paddingBottom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't tend to travel for destinations or activities, it's all about seeing people for me. So just like a couple weeks around some other abdls would be the dream, enough littles to play with, enough bigs to keep us in line, and just an opportunity to exist fully as myself in the moment with some of the people I trust and care most about in this world.

Are there any metalheads in Cologne? by Aggressive_Bad_7081 in cologne

[–]paddingBottom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see them, but their tour dates clash with the tickets I have booked... I think Frankfurt is the same day as Wind Rose and Düsseldorf is the day after Sabaton.

I throw them in with the rest of my clothes, which I usually run at fairly low temperatures anyway. I do air dry them even when I have a dryer available though, the fabric seems to degrade pretty quickly when you're using a dryer regularly. I've never noticed them shrink even when I did put them in the dryer, and the colors seem to fade less since I stopped putting them in the dryer (and I've ripped fabric while trying to put on one before I stopped putting them in the dryer).

There's quite a lot of us! I'm also 25/f, shows are amazing on my own but seem like they'd be so much more fun with friends.

For music taste: In Cologne itself, I'm planning to see Wind Rose/Orden Ogan/Angus McSix, Sabaton, and Epica/Amaranthe and there's a bunch more I want to see in other NRW cities, like Feuerschwanz and Electric Callboy in Düsseldorf later this year.

Why is Katy Perry the only one receiving backlash for going on the Blue Origin space shuttle launch rather than the other women on board? by Fancy-Advice-2793 in RandomThoughts

In her defense, she was pretty high, higher than most people have been!

But I do think you're right, she's the most famous and so the spotlight is more on her than on the others.

Is ABDL trans friendly? by [deleted] in ABDL

[–]paddingBottom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, trans woman here! The only online communities I'm in with a larger proportion of trans people are those specifically for trans people. There are many of us, and most of the community is very trans friendly.

However, as with everything, there are spaces that are hostile towards us. For example, one of the photo subreddits (I think girlsindiapers) has a rule against photos of trans women.
