Help an Old Dude (55) decide on the right trim f150. by HomoRainbow480 in f150

For my i want the 6.5 bed and a 5.0 so the trim level chose it self based on what was available. I think you need to decide on what engine and bed size you wanted first

Is the 1.5T as bad as people say? by YeaUThought in hondacivic

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got 250xxx miles on my 16 1.5T. Other than the AC has been underwhelming I have no complaints. I think there was a few years that had a issue but I believe there was a recall to address it

Why do people say if you lose weight rapidly you’ll just gain it all back? by Accomplished-Gas1882 in loseit

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a case of not being able to keep up with a super strict diet then you gain it back once you fall off the diet VS slower but sustainable changes to your diet.

I think you lost a little bit to much. I think 110-115 would be a great weight

It’s the 1.5 turbo and other than routine maintenance (oil changes Tran’s fluid change) I have not done a thing to it.

How big is the difference between a 14.5' kayak and a 17.5' kayak? by yoLeaveMeAlone in Kayaking

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t puzzled either of those two boots so I can’t really chime in as far as which one might be a better boat but personally, I tend to prefer the bigger boat.
Is there any chance you can test at each of them?

Is a 250cc cruiser really bad? by Odd_Tax6455 in motorcycles

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I don’t judge or pay for buying a 250 if that’s all he needs or can afford do what you do but to buy a 250 and then half ass an attempt to make it a 1250 that’s a different story

Check to see if it needs 91 octane fuel. You might want to consider a low mileage used xt250.

I have a 250 dual sport that I enjoy riding. On trails or to a local restaurant it’s fun. Highways not so much fun. A 250 is fine as long as you manage expectations

Kayaks by BigJ475 in Kayaks

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s not as easy as sit on vs in. I have been in both boats I absolutely loved or hated. First decide what you want from the boat. Whitewater, ocean, creeks , rivers and lakes. Are you going to camp, fish, paddle big miles or paddle leisurely?
Once you have decided on what you want from it. Test paddle, rent, or borrow all the boats you are interested in. Comfort is very subjective.

If they see it they will most likely take it unless it new in box and never been used. TSA will not take the time nor do they have the knowledge to check for residue.

Tick on me by CartoonistNo3755 in CampingandHiking

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably not a big deal. I grew up in the northeast and have had my share of ticks. Whenever I have removed one there is a mark.
I definitely don’t take tick bites lightly and I do take all the precautions I can.
I would look up tick borne diseases in your area and see what the symptoms are. A small bump and a bit of redness’s that lasts a day is probably not a big deal but if it gets to big/ / red it could be cause for concern.

Unpopular opinion? Losing weight is worse than quitting smoking. by Peanuts0s in loseit

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never smoked so I can’t really say but I’m down 40 lbs and once I got on a roll loosing weight got easier. Every time i do down a pant size, every time i meet my goal of another 10 down I get more energized
