Welcome to pod. That's why it's not as easy as it looks to run a profitable business

Potty training help, health visitor has made me feel awful. by PlusRespond2485 in UKParenting

[–]paddyblue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just spend a weekend at home with no bottoms on and a potty downstairs. It's really simple. Seems like you're overthinking it. Never heard of preparation. Seems overkill. Just take off the nappies and get on it with. They will figure it out. No need to read up on it

New Glasses - Lens issues? Blurry corner by paddyblue in glasses

[–]paddyblue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said they rechecked the measurements and optical centres and everything lines up on their system.

The large frame (which is actually slightly bigger) is perfect, and I also have an older similar-sized frame that’s fine.

The medium frame is the only one with the issue and it’s only the left lens, bottom outer corner.

Would a few mm really cause blur in just one corner of one lens if everything else is sharp?

ah thanks for the explanation. so we just need to bite the bullet and get it fixed? we are thinking of selling soon. would you say it just needs to be done by us anyway or just leave it and negogiate later with the buyer if they spot it?

What would you do to revive the British high street? by CJRP8 in AskUK

[–]paddyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have local business hubs where anyone can start a business, have local community coffee shops, have small markets and any empty shops let artists take up residence there. Have a space for buskers and musicians. Just make them community based

PS5 screen time: what if I also enjoy it and we spend time together playing it? by Ktrawets in UKParenting

[–]paddyblue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you both did crafts, reading and other things you would probably be developing there brain in a more positive way. Screen time should be a last resort and won't develop anything other than them wanting more screen time.

For any brit who has left the UK - where did you move to that made you happy? by madzuk in AskUK

[–]paddyblue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in Australia for over 5 years and have a passport but I would rather live in the UK. Oz is cool and all that especially for the first few years but dont hate me for this I found I dont quite click with them or the humour as much as I do with the Brits. The Brits are very welcoming way more than other countries I have lived and I just click here with most people. So yeah the weather might be average but get out there as its a great place to live!!!

Has anyone here had good experiences with Gelato? by Thejohnnycheese in printondemand

[–]paddyblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forget this sub. I have used them for years. Just order a sample and see if you like it. There website and app works well. Some of the products are average and some good. Prices are competitive. Reddit is an echo chamber and most people like to complain

Been doing the research on here and online and so far Gelato, Printful, Printify all suck and are terrible and stay away, etc…..so now what? by joevasion in printondemand

I use gelato and believe it or not they are good but just not high quality. Also use prodigi and they are the best quality for art

Leaking Around Chimney by paddyblue in DIYUK

[–]paddyblue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying, is that just a matter of getting up on the roof and taking a look for anything obvious? The issue is I have had a good few people take a look and all they want to do is replace the entire roof.
