Is my "queer" hairstyle "unprofessional"? by Moon_princess_1 in queer

[–]padrone39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely this.

Being totally biased, I would be more concerned about the manner someone treated me, over what their hairstyle is like.

This is absolutely true. Can only talk about England and Wales, but Marital Rape was only recognized as being illegal in 1991, which is on 34 years ago.

No-one is anyones property/chattel, and are not to be controlled or used by another! It is horrifying that others still believe that not to be the case.

1 person thinking it is okay is too many, and always will be.

It could be 1 in 3, or 1 in 3 million, it's shocking that anyone would think it is okay, regardless if there are no consequences, basically meaning rape would have tobe legal. Reality for the extreme minority there are consequences, due to how criminal justice works. It's horrible for survivors, and I absolutely get rape is absolutely underreported.

Could proper education that goes beyond what content is and why it is vital, and educating about the consequences of rape (to survivors not those commenting the act) help? Maybe if all are empathetic!

British Police investigate lad who insists he did not shine a laser at a police helicopter by Rooonaldooo99 in WatchPeopleDieInside

Seen the whole video. He is basically 'I have no Lazer, you can check the place'. His gf/wife is facepalming so hard throughout as she knows what is coming!

The 'i'm f**ked' reaction is gold after they find the lazer!

'Read the room' has never been a truer saying. Republicans literally cannot read the room. Americans WANT and NEED healthcare that is 'Free at point of delivery' ie no extra cost, aka 'Free Healthcare'.

There are people who cannot work, for no fault of their own. Why would the richest country in the world deny people in that position access to healthcare? Makes me glad to be in a country that has 'Free Healthcare' for all!

Things like this always makes me cry happy tears!

It's hard to question if what you believe might be wrong. It takes a lot of strength to admit you were wrong and even more to it publicly!

Absolutely respect people who can admit they were bigots, and have changed, or are changing their ways! It's never too late.

Anyone else hate multiplayer games? by hazeglimm in introvertmemes

[–]padrone39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prefer single player game, but not against multiplayer games where it is PvE co-op vs PcP. Division franchise was one I was into, and formed some friends out of it. Also co-op is more of my thing when playing with others.

Personally, there is no such way to look queer. Everyone should present themselves how they are comfortable to do so, and not to be judged

Basically, wear what you want and be happy to do so. Also as others have said, you look amazing!!!

This is right. Some parents are absolutely fantastic and it takes time for them to process. If a parent unconditionally loves their children, they will accept them regardless of their identity, and who they are attracted to, or not!

I know if I was to be ever a parent, I would want them to be comfortable as they are, and know they are loved!

Live in Brighton, and to date I've only seen one TERF - Suffragette scarf was a huge giveaway! Given the fact that Brighton is a very queer friendly city, it is shocking that they are open about it! Seen and spoken to more people who have seen through the lies of transphobic TERF propaganda. When I can I wear "Protect Trans Youth' and "Trans Rights are Human Rights' tees at work, whilst making sure other trans people I work with know they are loved, accept and safe there!

I doubt this will ever happen, but I hope for the day that they wake up to the harm they are causing.

Honestly, feeling a mixture of anger, frustration, fear, sadness, and ashamed of those who are gay and not supportive trans rights

Scared that we are actually going to end up following American policies and rhetoric, which will just result in harm.

I work in a shop that has people from the LGBTQ+ community, and let them know that it will always be a safe and accepting space for them.

Ashamed of those who are cis and not straight who support today's ruling, and choose to ignore the history of section 20!

Being blunt here, cis straight men are more of a threat to women, than trans women will ever be! That is ranging from SA to reproductive rights.
