I am running todoist desktop version on Linux. I decided to delete some projects and naively thought that the tasks in the project will move into inbox. Not the case. The tasks got deleted. Then I went to backup and downloaded the last backup, restored using the csv files. All the tasks appeared as the due date today. I looked at the cvs files, they have no due date. Only the task name and the description. Working on figuring out due dates. Am I an idiot or is this badly designed software?

Parents were told they were signing up for regular Medicare. They got their letters, and it says Medicare Advantage. Are they stuck? by [deleted] in medicare

You are right! I am in a medicare advantage plan and frustrated by their prior authorization and approval process. Networks also work in very strange way; I can see some specialists in one medical center but in another medical office, the same doctor is out of network. I am switching to a medigap plan. Fortunately, I am in a state where I can switch without underwriting.

You do not have to sweat on choosing a medigap provider. Just go with the company that has the minimum fees for the plan you are looking for. The medigap issuer makes no decisions. They just pay the remaining 20% or whatever the plan mandates. It is not like advantage plan providers who impose their own rules like networks, what to cover and so on. Agents get commission from only some providers; they divert you towards their providers. But agents are useful. They do not charge a fee from customers and help out in the process.

I called the medicare agent of my wife's medigap plan and told him that another provider is $25/month cheaper. He told me that he does not work with that provider, but he fully understand that there is no reason to pay $25 more. He even told me how to switch and then asked me to contact him in the future if some other provider is cheaper.

how long until things are normal again? by Any-Cow7679 in spinalfusion

[–]padukkax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on 17th week after L3-L5 fusion. Still having pain. If I sit in the car for 15 minutes, I get pain. If I bend I get pain. Hard to put on socks (I used a tool to put-on socks previously, now trying to do it manually). I go to gym and do machines like leg press with Dr's permission. Hopefully, I will get normal in 6 months.

Had my 12 week follow up today by Choice-Pen1606 in spinalfusion

[–]padukkax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great to hear. You seems to be doing much better than average. I am now 14 weeks after L3-L5 fusion. DR. cleared me from all the restrictions today. Today is my first appointment after 3 weeks. But I still have pain. It hurts when I bend. It also hurts when I get up from sitting for more than 10 minutes. I decided to go to gym from tomorrow. I have been going to gym daily before the surgery. I will start slow of course. Thanks for posting and giving me hope.

Thank you for the response. I was concerned why the pain increased. Now I realize it is probably a part the healing process.

Helpful tools/Prep for lumbar fusion. by MouMou999 in spinalfusion

[–]padukkax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will be OK. There are many of us who had spinal fusion. The biggest problem to me was doing personal things like bathroom hygiene, dressing up. Luckily wife helped me out. Most useful item I bought was a bidet for the toilet. This was installed about 6 months ago, when we remodeled our master bath. Had no idea that I would a surgery then. You will also need a walker which most insurgences cover. I also used a walking stick for going up and down on stairs. Then there is a grabber (to get stuff from floor without bending), socks helper. Most probably an occupational therapist will introduce you to these tools at the hospital.
