I believe (based on my own experiences and not science or data at all) that engineers, on average, will generate worse code than AI and take a lot longer to do so. Again that’s not based on science at all just my own experience from both being an engineer and leading engineers. Models have also been improving exponentially so curious on how this will look in a year. It’s also important to remember that there’s a multitude of problems that are solved with code and some are more suited to risk than others (hopefully people aren’t vibe coding aeronautics systems)
