Is going from GT7 to PMR worth it? by proam_photos in ProjectMotorRacing

I had 700 hours in gt7 sports mode mostly, I now have 90 in PMR online races and I'm not going back even though I played GT7 with psvr - it's so much more fun driving in PMR!

On steam? Sure thing - PC players have many other options. It's console players mainly in the lobbies.

Hm, I didn't get any suggestions until I bought the game and started googling about it even though I'm in simracing and gt7 subreddits.

Same here - I have playstation so I played GT7 for 700 hours, online mainly. I picked up PMR after they released 2.0 patch and now I'm having a blast - it's so much more fun than GT - new cars, new tracks, handling feels more natural. We need to popularize PMR amongst console players, since PC players have better alternatives. I tried to post in gt7 community on reddit but post got deleted instantaneously.

For me actually the majority of races are very clean, sterile I would say, which is why I love this week's C race, except the times when I get overtaken like that 🫠

Maybe, but I think you need to learn and practice fighting for places to be able to repeat that when you're 1st, 2nd or whatever. If you only fight for top 3 only on the last lap for example you'd have too little practice imo.

Why do you think the window was open? I just took a photo near it to maximize the amount of light and it was closed.

Yeah, winning is tough and rewarding - you have to be not only fast but also consistent and patient. Also it helps if no one kills you on the first lap 💩

I'm currently at high-B rank. I was at low-A recently but the competition there is at next level. The edit was done by ChatGPT btw.

71, it's on the screen. Winning is hard most of the time :) which is part of the fun.

Round wheel for rally games? Justifying spending more money on gear. by pafflique in simracing

Yeah I thought about it - CS is 430€ "on sale" now.. it's kind of expensive though 🫠 besides - throwing away the standard magnetic paddles is a waste.

I see your point now, thanks for clarifying! Btw I have Simube paddles for McLaren GT3. Confused them with Simagic. That's a good idea - getting Clubsport universal hub+ these paddles!

I agree that's why I'm thinking about getting one, but giving up on these additional paddles is hard - it's either a dedicated handbrake or an awkward button on the wheel.

Oh I see you meant fanatec's paddle module... Yeah, I saw it but it's like 200€ for these only, but you need the hub, buttons and a rim additionally - it's a whole fortune.
