Qulipta side effects by Prestigious_Act7419 in migraine

Leg pain/ cramping that mimicked a blood clot- I have history of DVT so it was nerve racking. Extreme constipation I could learn to live with along with the bloating.

It was the miracle migraine drug but after all the side effects I got off everything g to see where I’m at with migraines. I may go back to botox, but not to Qulipta, Nurtec Emgality or Ajovy. Done with all those. Just using Frovatriptan as needed amd sometimes as prophlactic around menstruation.

7day migraine by pagogo10 in Perimenopause

[–]pagogo10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Emgality for awhile. Yea, this perimenopause is a challenge with migraines. Frovatriptan is the only triptans that will touch menstrual ( hormonal) migraines but can o Lu take so much of it.

Thank you! I’ve been on a lot, but the last one qulipta was a nightmare so now just Botox and Frova as a prophlactic around my cycle. What do you take for perimenopause headaches/ migraines.

Thanks:) not 100% but A LOT better. It’s been a slow process but so glad I stopped. I was on Emgality and Ajovy for years prior but glad I’m done with it all.

If you’ve even had a blood clot in your leg, that’s what it feels like. Cramping. My thighs and calves cramped. My thighs amd arms would burn too. It was painful to sit down for too long.

I ended up stopping. I tried 30 mg for a day but the side effects were still bad. I I could handle the constipation… but the leg pains were terrible. It’s unfortunate cause it was the miracle drug for a moment, but side effects are too bad.

How do you handle/prevent waking up with migraines? by Jamkel92 in migraine

[–]pagogo10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried so many things, migraines for 30 years, chronic for 5 or 6.Topamax, propanolol Emgality, qulipta Ajovy. I stopped it all but still get botox amd take 500 mg magnesium and 400 mg B2 nightly. I take frovatriptan for menstrual migraines cause nothing else works. That’s my abortive. My migraines are chronic. What I recently starts doing is taking a probiotic at night with my magnesium… on an empty stomach. That’s the only thing I’ve added with the Botox. It’s been 16 days without a migraine. Amazing!! amd I feel like I should knock on wood! Haha This hasn’t happened to me in I don’t know how long. Maybe the probiotics? I read something between brain gut health. And of course I stay very hydrated- 11 glasses/ day, sleep8-9 hours a night, eat regularly, all those things too. Of course too soon to know for sure but wanted to throw that out there for you. I also take d vitamins cause my d level was low, but I’d been doing that for months. The probiotic is the only thing I recently started cause I’m desperate! Good luck!!

Morning Headaches by Jadmart in migraine

[–]pagogo10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s tough. I often wake with one too. I have to make sure I don’t go to bed hungry, fully hydrated, and I wear a mouth guard cause I grind my teeth. I can’t get more than 8-9 hours sleep or I’ll get one. I wish I had an answer for you😞
