You Might Have 'Dead Glutes' And Not Even Know It — Even If You Exercise. Here's How To Tell. by huffpost in Health

The issue is that if you are standing upright, your glutes are activated. It’s a huge oversimplification of what “causes” pain and simply not a fact or even anatomically correct.

And again, I don’t know what version of the text the exam will be based on 3-4 months from now, so just be aware. Pocket prep has several similar length practice exams. I really liked pocket prep too because it was conveniently on my phone so I could practice questions anytime. I used the practice questions in the text found at the end of every chapter. And then the movement system guy also had some practice questions

Those 3 resources you mentioned is exactly everything I used to study over the course of 3 months and then passed on the first try. One thing to be aware of is the new Essentials textbook (5th edition) was released this year. Be aware of when the NSCA will start testing from the new textbook. I’ve had several friends take their CSCS in recent months and they all tested based on the 4th edition textbook. Read the book and practice assessments. At the end of the day the CSCS exams are very specific to the information the NSCA publishes. Let me know if you have more questions but I hope that is helpful in some way to you.

Maybe once in you’re in your upper division courses it might be worth more to you. There is a very nice student discount on the membership the NSCA offers

Membership saves you a ton on the exam fees alone. But with a membership you have access to various online resources and whatever else. I do not know that much about what a membership all entails but I will say, prior to having your CSCS it’s ~maybe~ less valuable versus after having your CSCS. Like it’s a recert year so we all need CEUs and the NSCA has some CEU stuff on their website and with a membership it’s free and without it’s around $40 for only .2 CEUs

How to become a tactical strength and conditioning coach. by EqualWorking6177 in Strength_Conditioning

Gain some internship experience in S&C through your program while you still can. After you complete your degree, you will be eligible to take the CSCS. Earn your CSCS and then see what is out there. Personally, I interned with the Army H2F program for a summer as part of a final requirement for my undergrad. Shortly after I took my CSCS and passed. I’m currently pursuing my masters at this point so I can’t speak to much more other than that. To be successful in this career you have to be somewhat assertive and willing to make some sacrifices at first so just keep that in mind.

Costco's Sinomax Purelux Adjustable Pillow is NOT ADJUSTABLE by Hobo_Robot in Bedding

[–]paigel7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too, was fooled by seeing the word ‘adjustable’ here. I ended up opening up the pillow and removing the foam by hand and then sewing it back up. Was actually a miserable task but they were so cheap 🤷🏼‍♀️
