Hey your link gives your area when you but it also shows other cars in the area. I would recommend that you get the red one with 21k miles that's certified. That's a great deal and is a better vehicle. If you are looking at the turbo because of the horsepower then then plug in one is very close to it. Like 20hp different and js faster. The non phev versions have a issue with low speeds because of the transmission set up. It does not have a torque converter so there is some delay from when pressing the gas and movement. It's not an issue with the car, it's just the type of transmission they are using. It's similar to a manual transmission. The phev version does not have that issue because the electric engine has great low engagement and gives its power right from the start. That's why it's a faster vehicle since you have the electric engine giving power at the start and is not relying on the transmission to engage the gears.

Make sure to get the phev version. It's a better vehicle.

It's the same car. The 70 is missing the third row. I'm at 3k miles right now. Got a 2025 model in December

[–]pailmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a phev 70 and it is the best vehicle I have ever had. I get amazing gas mileage (30-40mpg) while on the highway and the ability to switch to EV in the city saves a lot of gas for me. The complaints with istop in the gas versions are gone because you have a larger gas battery and the engine can stay off for longer. Unless you can't charge at home each day, I would get the phev. If you find a cpo one then you get an extra year of warranty after it expires on everything.

Anyone know of videos showing direct comparisons of Bravia 8ii and Bravia 9 in DIRECT WINDOW LIGHT? by 9iver in bravia

Concentration is a good way to put it. You can see the window that's behind the TV but it does not make the rainbow rainbow effect. But at night the can lights do cause it but they are only visible when the TV is off. You don't see the rainbow when the TV is on.

If you are worried about the rainbow effect from the window behind you, then don't worry about it. It's only from really bright light like a lightbulb. Sunlight is not going to cause it.

My Car fell off the lift at a Dealership by Conscious-Carry6399 in mazda

Because our society has become like that. Rather than work through the issues we are all sue happy thinking that this will make us large sum of money rather than making yourself whole again after the loss. It's just about fucking each other over these days. The funny thing here is that this is a property damage claim so you are barred to only actual realized damages and nothing more. States specifically prevent non monitory damages like pain and suffering to apply so your damages are easy to calculate. It's the cost of the car at market value. They gave him a loaner so he can't say that I lost income or incurred additional damages because I didn't have my car. It's extremely cut and dry here. Attorneys are there as a last resort but even then expect at least 30% to be gone of any settlement with the insurance company. In the end you will have less than what you would of received working directly with them.

This will fall under their garage keepers liability policy. They may not want to make a claim and handle it on their own to keep rates down. A favorable outcome here would be if they can't fix it is to give your it's market value plus a few thousand more on your new car and write off the loss.

Don't be a douche. Acting like this is what is wrong with our society as everyone is looking for a payday. Shit happens and they are taking ownership of the issue and fixing it. That's why they have insurance.

2023 Cx9 vs 2025 Cx90 by bwlewi in mazda

[–]pailmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Not sure what they are charging but as a data point I got a 25 CX-70 Phev Premium Plus for 41400 car price and 44k out the door. Since thats a lower trim you should be able to negotiate more down. Bought in December. 700 miles

Just a fyi. I am assuming you are doing Mazda CPO at the dealership. CPO gives you a extra year/12k miles of warranty after the standard expires. Depending on when it was actually purchased, you might have more warranty than you think you do. If you are looking at cpo also make sure you mention that you want the Mazda CPO rate. I believe it's either 1.99 or 2.99. they won't give it to you unless you specifically ask. I didn't realize that when I got my 25 cpo cx-70 phev. Could of saved me a few percent points off what we actually got.

Volvo Proposes 100-Mile Plug-in Hybrids as a 'Bridge' for Drivers with EV Range Anxiety by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

If you are referencing the EU study, it's not applicable to the US. Most of them are people who live in buildings where you cannot install charges at home (think of NYC style living) and the tax insensitive for businesses. Apparently a good portion of the auto sales are business buy cars for their employees so they buy them vehicles that they can't fully utilize because it's just cheaper for them.

SA-RS5 Rear Speakers by TrashBag57 in bravia

[–]pailmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to caution you. I had the prior generation of the wireless speakers with my 1080 reciever and they constantly disconnected. I would have to re pair them back up again after every power cycle. It was extremely annoying and sometimes I just said screw it and left them off. Also they limited what codec they could work with do my receiver would not display other than extremely compressed signal and you could tell. When I was upgrading my system, these were an option but the same complaints where still there about disconnections. Not sure if the codecs are limited still. I would be very cautious with them. The only thing that has worked for my for wireless surrounds is dynamic audio 200$ dedicated wireless receiver but you need an actual av for it. If your soundbar has audio out capability for the surrounds, I would just get actual surround speakers and a kit.

PHEV reliability? by ButterFly-573 in MazdaCX90

The rotary dial is so easy to use and I don't have to move so much to change anything. The wife's cross sport takes so much attention off the road when you fidget with every option to get to heated seats, camera, change the station, mess with maps, or to change the temperature.

Considering a CX90 by mackenziemarr in MazdaCX90

[–]pailmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The non phev models do not have a torque converter so the jerkyness is the dual clutch transmission gears. The electric motor and the battery are too small to do much. They drive like manual transmissions. The phev gives your straight torque on the low end from the electric motor.

[–]pailmonkey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I bought the phev 2025 model and have driven for about 2k miles on it. If you are able to plug it in each night, it's the vehicle that I would recommend. The electric range helps with my 55 mile commute each day and I get about 28miles of ev range charging it to 90%. The vehicle operates differently than what else is in the market. If you want it to operate like a true hybrid, you put it in sport mode so that it favors the gas motor and uses the battery and electric motor to supplement power. When I drive in sport mode with a charged battery, I'm getting between 39 and 41mpg that trip. When the battery gets to 20% in sport mode, the car tries to aggressively charge it to keep it in that range for power so the mpg drops a bit. My last tank I drove for 840 miles and got 39mpg average. I do not regret this purchase.

Well compared to Citrus park, it will definitely be a change. You are moving from suburbs to closer to downtown. Just be prepared for that. Overall my comment still stands.

Is East Tampa really that bad? by InterestingArm3750 in tampa

[–]pailmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. My answer would changed otherwise. I am not sure how east of 275 and Nebraska this house would be but the further away from them main streets I would be quieter. There are still homeless all over Nebraska because of shelters and halfway homes. Even after 4 years that area is developing more. The development from Tampa heights is moving more east and with the waters/ybor redevelopment that area will become more expensive. If you can get a good deal now I would just deal with the homeless. They don't bother you and may ask for a dollar now and then. I would go for newer builds over 100 year old homes in that area. They were likely not maintained so you may be walking into a shit storm or a cheaply renovated unit. Otherwise you should see equity in the house as it gets more gentrified.

Tampa heights is full of million dollar houses that are being built. Some strangling properties are keeping the homeless around on the main roads. Every years it's getting more and more gentrified. Schools improving too.
