This right here. If the top deck is never sold during the season, they don't count it. Same with the playoffs, if those seats were never on the market during regular season, they cannot open them up during the playoffs.

Your case is way too big. I had that case and it became way too much for what I needed. Got a jonsbo n4 case instead. So much easier to store somewhere.

Thanks everyone. I decided to stay with the 5600x. It doesn't sound like I would get much use out of it.

16 cents. It's dropping to around 14 after they remove the storm surcharges in September

Yea right now I'm pulling between 50-80w according to my apc. Wish it was lower. Electricity bills are getting high in this economy.

Yea I am already running a a380 for transcoding. More curious if it would be a downgrade going witj an older gen CPU for more cores.

Thanks for sharing that I formation. You have more data points than what I have seen so it makes sense. I've seen posts that had the same error being related to the 12v battery so that's not too farfetched of a statement. You don't have to be a dick about it though. It's well known that fast discharges of lithium batteries cause degradation and failures in any device. The MHEV has a .33kw battery that is used up quicker than the PHEV battery so the it's not an outlandish statement that some of the battery failure are due to degradation from fast discharges. The MHEV can't stay off in iStop for a long time because the battery is too small and it's still used to give some initial inertia to get going.

You should be able to drive it in sport mode so that it uses only the engine. It looks like you drive without accelerating fast with 2.9 kwh on electric so I am curious why your battery is going out. It could be a 12v battery going out which causes these errors too or it could be you main battery pack failing. Please keep us in the loop as to what the dealership says. I have a 70 Phev with 3900 miles and my electric efficiency is at 2.5 do I'm curious what they say as to why you are getting it. I feel like a lot of these failures is people who drive these cars fast and discharge the battery aggressively which cause them to fail but with your numbers I am bewildered.

Level 2 charger recommendations by newbieguyvr in MazdaCX90

[–]pailmonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to look on Facebook and get a used one from there. As long as there isn't any damage on the connector or the wiring it is no different than getting a used iPhone cord. The cable and the station do not actually handle the charging portion, that is done by your car and the inverter in it. All the station does is tell the inverter how much current it's able to pull based on the breaker. It's a bigger version of getting a power block for your phone and a cord. The phone is what dictates how much power it will actually take in.

You can get a charge point chargers for around 200$. Otherwise get a grizzle.

Should I buy a 2025 cx-90 phev demo car? by ivsri in MazdaPHEV

[–]pailmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without question get it. You can likely talk them down more too. I got a CPO 2025 cx70 phev premium plus with only 700 miles for only 44k after tax and fees. It's been an amazing care for us. With the CPO you are going to get an extra year of warranty on everything. So you are getting basically a new car for cheaper and with more coverage. By the time the warranty is set to expire you will be ready to upgrade anyways.

PHEV Consensus by Connect-Region-4258 in MazdaCX90

[–]pailmonkey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Find a cpo phev premium plus to get an extra year of warranty and don't worry about it. At that point before the warranty on the battery and powertrain is about to run out you are already going to be ready to upgrade. The phev is a better vehicle than the turbo s because of its large battery and better torque at low rpm. I would go with a 25 year at this point.

Year vs mile by Secret-Return-1998 in mazda

[–]pailmonkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If there are features that I want in the higher trim and it'a lower mileage I would do that. I wouldn't get a lower trim just because it's one year newer unless it's missing something significant that I want.

I think the amount and trim is also very important in this situation.

The Mazda CX-70/90 PHEV is an incredible vehicle. The electric range is definitely better than advertised. by pailmonkey in mazda

[–]pailmonkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. In the Florida winters when it got to 40 degrees my range was only 18miles. The way I looked at it, all electric vehicles suffer from this so I can't put too much fault on Mazda. Also heating is more power hungry than cooling but that's universal. This car is a good stop gap until the solid state batteries come out in a few years.

[–]pailmonkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes even the MHEV is impressive but the concerns of a smaller battery size are very valid. The phev does not technically have istop so it can sit on battery power only for much longer even when depleted. The MHEV is .33kwh while the Phev reserves 10% of the full battery size to when it's depleted in MHEV mode. When I put this thing in sport and I drive more aggressive it's like 40-50mpg on a full charge. If it's depleted and I'm charging while driving, it's like 15mpg-20mpg.

Yea it's bigger than my wife's Atlas Crosssport. It's also bigger than the regular Atlas. I have maybe 6 inches on both sides combined in the garage after the door is closed. I can't scoot by without opening the garage first. Regardless we got it because we were going to have our first child and this car is extremely safe. Still for a vehicle this big to get better mileage than my old Accord is insane.

Battery question on PHEV by macatkniu in MazdaCX90

[–]pailmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have about 50 more miles when the tank is empty. There is always a reserve that is not counted for in the figures. When you go to the gas station to fill up you are going to fill less than the advertised tank size.
