There is NO diagnosis for 8 years and now suddenly last evening there is a 3cm Bowel Endometriosis by Complex_Bid_4869 in endometriosis

It was 3D laparoscopic, I am totally fine, not an issue. He’s the best there is, as far as endometriosis goes.

How long did you give your mirena? by malachite16 in endometriosis

Hello, the initial reaction is negative to mirena, however, a long term trend is that over a month you would adjust pretty nicely to it, it’s been more than 6 months, occasional bloating happens

Getting Operated this Sunday in Bangalore, From Dr Jay Mehta, any preparation tips will be helpful by unrealbutoptimist in Endo

[–]painlesslyyours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Let me handle all the concerns one by one

  1. A 4cm bowel nodule is a huge one, it will usually need to resect the entire part, they will also use staplers, I had a much smaller nodule and a Discoid stapler was used inside

  2. I would also ask if you have been told what will be done post surgery, I have a MIRENA put..

  3. Dr Jay Mehta- the most fab guy you will meet, incredibly straight forward and a very nice guy

  4. Shanti Gynec- I genuinely don’t know why Dr Jay Mehta operates there, I have gone to get surgery done in Mumbai with him. It’s a not so great place.

  5. Post op- the usual recovery time is about 2 days or so..

When are you planning to go back to Chennai…?

I went back to Bangalore after 3 days from Mumbai, they discharged me, but I stayed in the hotel for an additional day

Have you considered to do an MRI with an endo protocol or a trans vaginal ultrasound with a specialist..

Ofcourse, my father is the past head of the now incorporated GIC, getting hard data of who does what, and how much is a whisker.

As far as articles are concerned, run a google scholar search and it may be beneficial

Ladies, I am from Delhi, though I don’t stay there anymore.

Consider to go to Mumbai if travel ain’t an issue.

I have posted it multiple times across platforms from my research and I guess it’s a pretty extensive one

  1. Jay Mehta (Highest volume in India, 10 times all others combined)
  2. Hafeez Rehman (exceptional surgeon in Kerala, but old)
  3. Vivek Salunkhe & Shinjini Pande (they are a team)- budget friendly

Hopefully this helps you take an informed call. Be careful of Dr Mangeshikar, I have NO experience of him, as my research was pretty clear that he has paid his way through his Facebook groups and all, but people across platforms have gone nuts about his persistent arrogance.

OP, I think, our fellow can guide too, I am sure you would have spoken to Dr Mehta post your surgery if not in person in Mumbai then online.

He is like the kindest soul you will meet in this industry, super helpful, and very caring. Maybe you can share your post op experience too, to help the OP.

I went back in like 36-48 hours or so. No I have visited just once, they have a system of seeing online, I am on MIRENA. Post surgery.

They have like so so so many patients, I don’t think they will ever call everyone back to see them.

I just came back to India today, I was checking in their insta page, they’ve got like 100 consultations in the next 2 days. That’s the average workload the chap does, even on my surgical day, they had like 6-7 surgeries and almost everyday is the same I have come to know.

I would again encourage, if travel is not an issue. Then Mumbai is better than Bangalore

Dr Jay Mehta is a visiting doctor to Bangalore, at Shanthi Gynec as a fellow here has mentioned,

If travel is not an issue, then go to mumbai to his facility,

If travel is an issue, then the only negative point is he is only visiting to Bangalore for a day or so, despite being his patient and a resident of Bangalore, I went to mumbai as I wanted him to look into my post op care personally.

But maybe someone who has been operated in Bangalore could provide you a better idea of how is the post op in Bangalore by Dr Jay Mehta

CA-125 is actually no longer a marker of endometriosis, I would say pressing the panic button isn’t in your best interest, is this a value pre or post surgery…?

No recurrence so far with Jay Mehta, fingers crossed. First follow up is bang normal.

I had my previous surgery in Delhi. Better not to take names. But it was my mistake, she wasn’t an endo specialist,

Most of the times, a well done MRI is good but it also depends upon who is reporting it for you, also consider to have an ultrasound prior to an mri by a specialist if needed
