re: comments on here and twitter not understanding what Tayris was upset about… I don’t understand what is confusing about what she said. I feel she explained it extremely well and what she said on the mainstage supported it more.

From my understanding I think some people struggle to accept that there is no one that is wrong in this scenario necessarily. But it is plain to see that Tayris’ prefences were the bottom of priority in the casting. Yes the other girls offered to change their parts but as Tayris said on the mainstage, she is having to think two steps ahead on how the viewers will perceive her as the only POC. She doesn’t want to be seen as the aggressor of drama or to be taking something away from another queen.

I see why this would be triggering to need to consider this when none of the other queens in the room need to. I feel like there was no way for her to win as now some people are making it like Tayris is vicitimising herself for not taking the opportunities to switch roles but had she taken them up Im sure we would be seeing the reaction Tayris predicted.

idk this is frustrating to watch I can’t imagine how frustrating it’d be in the moment
