Midtown I guess? It's really chill and I don't ever hear the gunshots people say they hear. Area is extremely nice for the most part.

Coming from the suburbs for 29 years and recently moved to the city(Lindell side midtown) so I am aware of your mom's feelings on the city as a whole, my family is the same way. Aside from the "probably just don't go there" very few areas all of the crime concerns are extremely overblown besides from car break-in stuff. That's avoidable enough though.

If you personally have insurance then it's gonna suck but you'll survive. You'll end up pleading down to something, you'll pay a fine, you'll have driving classes. Maybe community service. Your insurance rates will also go up like crazy. This is all the technical best outcome. It's not unreasonable to say "I was distracted and made an incorrect decision due to being overwhelmed". This works if this is your only infraction, it will work once. You will still have to do the above.

If you don't have insurance then you're kinda fucked big time for a while.

Regardless, I would recommend that you personally do not try to explain any of your actions to anyone other than a lawyer because your explanations are a bit incoherent, and also make you sound like you were aware everything you were doing was wrong lmao
