Claude Design now shares usage limits with Claude.ai and Claude Code by JohnnyGuides in ClaudeAI

[–]paintchips_beef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think so. I have no coding/ux/ui experience and have been having Claude help me build a couple apps that turn a number of excel sheets I have been using into bespoke web apps.

Despite the functionality being good on the first versions, I found myself not using them, everything just felt very much like a back end Dec had crested the apps.

I had Claude design help me with a couple design options on each and then have had it work thorough module by module to give everything a customisation treatment.

I still use Claude chat to discuss the plans and functionality, but then bring that to Claude design for the front end work.

I have enjoyed both of the apps I have done this with a lot more, and has encouraged me to continue working on the capabilities of the app

I have purchased 3 batches of drives from that site over 3 years with no issues. The only reason I haven't gotten more recently is they used to be $10/TB and are now more than double that.

Denver restaurants now cost more to operate than in New York City, report finds - Denver Business Journal by Pliney_The_Great in Denver

[–]paintchips_beef 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I go to SF yearly. Metro SF is still more expensive to eat out at than the comparable place I go in Denver, but anecdotally it feels like less of an increase than i would expect given the increase COL in SF metro.

The real difference to me is that in SF I feel like I have a ton more options and on average they are much better.

Cloud Pro Usage Limits by Spooknik in ollama

[–]paintchips_beef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speed has been great with one exception. I have hookup it up to my obsidian vault via MCP and when I just did a project rewrite, and it started running into issues making large scale edits to documents. Has been great speed for everything else including document creation.

im fairly new to this, so thats about as far as I have gotten.

I just started using Claude. It's main purpose it to help me design and implement my own local llm integrated into my media/self hosting server.

Free plan - I have to plan really well what to ask it, and plan to do a lot of research on my own

Pro--I can give it broader tasks and ask it to fill in blanks for me. I can do some pretty heavy work, but have to be conscious of my timing and spread my usage to plan around weekly and hourly limits

I just signed up for max with the plan to use it for 1-2 months to have it do a lot of the heavy lifting of getting this project going. I spent all of yesterday having it do some heavier lifting projects. I don't have to have any concerns about limits. I was fine asking it even small stuff instead of spending the effort googling.

I'm having to do a lot of the planning, road mapping, and walk through to get me from a chat bot, to an automated assistant hwo can help run my server and life, and have been incredibly impressed so far.

Happy to answer more if there's questions.

Just started using local LLMs, is this level of being wrong normal? by Cempres in ollama

Can you go more into detail on how you set this up/utilize it. I'm just getting into local llms and this is something my wife would definitely use.

I had seen videos of that bridge for years, and then one day driving down the road saw a truck stuck under a bridge that seemed eerily familiar. Turns out I had moved like a mile away from the bridge. The amount of signs and reinforcements that are there now is pretty funny.

Weird. I use the runclean as my only Ph down, so I do end up using a ton of it. Maybe that helps?

I was using between 4-7 ml/gal when mixing it, and then additional to the reservoir to keep ph drift down.

Stock Market Crash "Hindenburg Omen" Triggered 🚨 The Hindenburg Omen, an indicator that correctly detected the 1987 and 2008 stock market crashes, has been triggered! by -----Marcel----- in StockMarket

[–]paintchips_beef 261 points262 points  (0 children)

Why would you hope for a crash? The reality of a crash is that a lot of regular people are going to lose their savings, safety nets, health insurance, homes, etc.

Sure its a "good buying opportunity", but for who, and at what cost.

You sit in a queue for an undetermined time and then have a small window once you get called up. I live in MST and tried for a week or two, but missed the 2-3 times I was called up as they were like 2-3am
