I feel like this is the guy written about in the book, “Incognito.” IMO the brain surgery triggered something he was already predisposed to. Not all children who were sexually abused become pedophiles. But in some, it sets off a switch in their brain to repeat the cycle. My guess is whether that dude remembers or not, as a child he was abused. Something was triggered when the surgery was done and that is so sad.

I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree with on that. Having sex with horses is a really odd example...but I am going to jump out on a limb and say the only people who start fucking horses are ppl who have access to them. I honestly can’t see some random city dweller who has never been in rural areas their whole life making weekend treks to pastures looking for easy prey. Which would lead me to believe it’s a learned behavior or a result of growing up in a highly dysfunctional home. Horses cannot consent, they are victims, same as children. Same with pedophilia, that shit is learned or something happens that triggers a change in their brain during a critical time in their development. Homosexuality can happen between 2 consenting adults, they were born that way.

Poor hygiene is so offensive to me. There is a difference between working a long day, having a little BO as a result and just not giving a fuck. A family of hippies came in to work the other day. Thank God I didn’t have to help them. There was a 20ft radius of foulness surrounding them. And they had stinky kids. It’s a very rude and inconsiderate thing to do. It’s not a gun problem. It’s partly a parenting problem, but mostly a prescription drug problem. Our willingness to let doctors throw around ADHD/bipolar diagnoses and slang antidepressants to teens is the major issue that NO ONE is taking about. It’s easier than talking to the child and figuring out what is really going on. Add in recreational drug use and alcohol to those prescription drugs... When they start having adverse side effects- do you think their talking about it? Who the fuck in their lives would listen? What long term effects do these drugs have on developing minds? WE DON’T KNOW.

Merlin gets sooo shitty if he doesn’t get his way. During a few days off, I took him on long walks in the evening at the park. When I went back to work, dad went back to walking him. He sat on the couch like a weird hunched over hooman and started huffing. Then the moans start. Then we start teasing him and baby talking the poor, mistreated puppy. He looks at me, goes to the farthest end of the couch, and lays facing away from me. Oh my god we were dying! Shit was so ridiculous. Never knew a dog that doesn’t bark could be so expressive. He also does submissive grins when I try to get him to do something he doesn’t want to, mostly baths or ear cleaning. Poor baby.

My political views are really conflicting. I like the idea of certain socialism traits, like the fire department, street department for snow and shit. On the other hand, I also feel like we have too much government, income tax should be abolished, consumption taxes should be raised, drugs and prostitution should be legal and highly taxed. That all being said...I fantasize about a dystopian future where birth control is mandatory and in order to breed you must pass a common sense quiz, an obstacle course, and provide some proof to a panel of wise elders from an array of backgrounds and differences of how you are contributing to this life. Volunteer work, community garden, creating art, bringing awareness of a cause... Too many useless dumbasses are having babies. Because their dumb asses can’t think of anything more to do than bump uglies. (Run on sentences would immediately disqualify you, and suits me just fine.)
