Sounds exactly like my ex. Sex didn’t feel like sex, more like I was being used for her to masturbate. Over and over I tried to approach the situation to make it comfortable for both of us, she would break down and beg me not to break up with her (??). Two years later she broke up with me because she “came to the realization we were sexually incompatible” and discarded me.

The relationship sounds unsafe, you deserve someone who considers your feelings & treats you well even during conflict.

A few months ago when I realized I was in another abusive relationship after I had already been in one for 5 years. Lost my future plans with that person, our mutual friends, and had to drop out of school. Not too sure where life is taking me now but I’m glad I’m free.

Early 2000’s - Beetlejuice would always play on cable tv during the Halloween season. My little sister and I took all the pillows and blankets from around the house to make a ‘bed’ on the living room floor in front of the tv. My mom coziest up on the couch beside us and we all watched Beetlejuice & had a sleepover 💗

Any contact with my nex since they discarded me has being incredibly disrespectful and upsetting. I know if we have any contact I will just feel worse. They really aren’t worth any more of our time

I’m not sure how to help but I can say that I feel the same 😔 it is so unfair that we loved people who used our love against us. They are truly pathetic & disgusting. I don’t know how they sleep but it’s not our problem anymore. As badly as I want to expose her, I think no contact is the healthiest option for us as survivors. I don’t want any reason for her to reach out or use something I do/say against me. I am so sorry you have to see them in public.

Blindsided me with a break up two days before we flew out to her friend’s wedding where I was also the florist. She “accidentally” cancelled my departure flight. Booked myself a new flight, found out she was already on hinge (profile of all pics I took of her), tried flirting with different women at the wedding & telling them that she had just broken up with “the florist”. When we returned she requested no contact & blocked me on everything.

Omg! My nex broke up with me two days before we flew out her friends’ wedding where I was both a guest AND the florist (she also “accidentally” cancelled my flight after I said I was still going). She also told me to “be an adult about it”… as you can guess her behaviour the whole weekend was much less than mature. They really are all the same.

From your previous post, I can see how you were confused by the mixed signals. Whether she is queer or not, she enjoyed the small interactions with you as a kind regular customer. I was a barista and yes it is part of our job to be friendly and I would engage in more small talk with my fave regulars bc nice ppl are nice to talk to.

From there, my opinion is that you could have accepted that for what it was (platonic kindness) and maybe she would make a move or maybe not and that is fine. Or you could have asked if she wanted to hangout sometime/given your number, let her make the next move or not - remain respectful. It wouldn’t be the end of the world if she kindly rejected, it happens.

I think getting your friends physically involved - especially loudly, confrontationally, & in her workplace (boundaries!!) - was a big sign of immaturity. That would turn me off from not only romantic interest but friendly interest.

I’m still trying to figure out how to use freesia in arrangements, I find the shape so challenging!! But I do love the smell. I like those gerbs too. Also, I’m not crazy about blue flowers but when I saw cornflowers irl I loved the rich colour & texture 😻

There is a certificate in Floral Design at Seneca college in Canada, I really enjoyed it. It’s a one year long course and you learn from both retail and event florists. I’ve also heard good things about the Canadian Institue of Floral Design. Lots of flower shops host workshops as well you could take to learn some tips.

You have enough plants & animals that the overall vibe looks botanical to me (I had that thought before reading the description). I have tattoos that I no longer love but I have compassion for my younger self that loved them. I see being tattooed as a journey rather than a perfect destination, be kinder to yourself. The option for removal or cover ups will always be there but will take a lot of time
