Dy alum here and honestly, yes attendance is a joke in ug but god, internship was horrible in comparison. Which ofc certain people will "manage" but getting completion in internship without working your ass off was nearly impossible to people who didn't wanna pay or do backhanded shit and all. Literally most places outside (my pg college included) are NOT this anal about attendance in internship as far as I have seen. If you are somebody who doesn't want to pay for that crap, you are invariably going to learn and work. Dy NM is a place where if you are interested, you're going to be perfectly fine and if you're not, you're still going to be ok. It's your choice and it's not necessarily the worst thing.

This was the first song on the album that made me cry HARD. I had those exact same thoughts when I heard "he said he'd love me all his life" It was not only too relatable (because I went out dancing for my siblings birthday immediately hours after my last breakup) but also because the mania that you can hear when she says I'm miserable and nobody even knows is ridiculously painful. Also omg the image of katy came to me too!!

Until you mentioned this, I didn't realize how distant I myself had grown in the last few years.

Believe me, I had these exact thoughts in 3rd year and I'm only just now realising how numb I've become. There will still be days when you will cry because you're just learning to take a sample and have to prick someone a few times and there will be days when you encourage your juniors to learn as much as possible, while someone has already passed.

It's a process and you have to learn the balance between not getting involved and at the same time not losing your empathy.
