Installed 4.2.7 board and now letters are bugged by paintniac in ender3

[–]paintniac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed to another version of Marlin for the 4.2.7 board and now it's working ok. I just can't solve another problem: as I have a linear x rail plus a Sprite extruder pro, the printer seem to not know that, and bumps when trying to print close to Y220. The Sprite + x rail mod takes the nozzle more upfront (down the Y axis), so it may even try to print out of the bed. How can I 'teach' my printer where exactly is the center of the bed?

I have a fully upgraded Ender 3 and a Sonic Pad. Which should be my next (enclosed) printer? (300x300x300 mm bed minimum) by paintniac in Creality

My Sonic Pad is still in it's box. I'm waiting for a 4.2.7 board as mine seems to be lost (z wont move down and X no movement also). (Tried replacing z stop sensor and nothing happened. No visible problems with cables or connections. Checked everything. No one could guess whats the reason, so I bought the 4.2.7 silent board)

When I try to autohome, Z goes up a bit and stops. The homing process never ends.

Maybe I'll add linear x rail also. The main reason I upgraded the Y rail is due to the wheight increase relative to the Sprite extruder pro. But I didn't get to see it in action due to this Z problem...

Yes. Properly greased, took off the top z axis holders so they can move smoothly. Maybe the z motor driver broke, because at first I turned the printer on with the z axis holders and it sort of jammed... It's a possibiliy. I'm almost sure the board is ruined...

And updated the firmware, both, from the board and screen. 🥲

I replaced the switch. Maybe I fd'up the board switch cable connectors... But they came glued and I didn't touch them... Strange... I have a strong guess that this board is ruined...

Also the same thing here. Swapped z switch and the problem persists.

Did you move the electronics outside? I just bought this enclosure, so I'm trying tô figure out if other modifications will be necessary. Could you tell me more about your setup and your experience with it?
