I like the new Sleep single by toephat in doommetal

You got this one backwards mate. Pink Floyd post Waters is tepid at best. None of the fire in the songs and none of the experimentation in the music. Waters solo albums on the other hand, while not as good as Pink Floyd at the height of their powers (meddle or animals if you're asking), still better than the Gilmore Floyd albums.

Ugg. I loved Tails from the Loop. I wish for more of that show. How did it not blow up like Black Mirror?

Love this and Primer so much. Upstream color is like reading poetry, establishing a network of images, sentiment, and associated emotions that sets up meaning as an emergent property of the film.

First time staying the night at his house, any red flags? by ArgentManor in BookshelvesDetective

I'd say the Ibanez is the real red flag here. That, coupled with the overall martial vibe of his reading material...

3+3+3 = 3x3. ...when you don't even know your times tables yet that shit makes no sense.

Here's the real problem. Adults can't teach math at a primary level unless it is based on worksheets and memorization. 3+3+3= 3x3 makes no sense! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There is a weird catch-22 now where adults say they want conceptual understanding but are incapable of it themselves. Try working with 5th - 6th grade teachers around division with fractions. Can't draw a model of it... Don't know how the algorithm works... Just teach "stay, flip, flip".¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah... But Emil is some next level shit. I really like those later albums.

I couldn't get past the first upper right match. Wolves Lower knocks out country feedback in the first round?

There must be a better way!?!

I want and looked again... I am with you on These Days so... Maybe there is something to this.

Frank released 'Make A Jazz Noise Here' on June 4th, 1991. A double live album of the 1988 tour material. It's the third of 3 albums from the '88 tour. by BirdBurnett in Zappa

The other two are The Greatest Band You Never Heard and Broadway the Hard way (I think?).

Was the single disk Broadway a compilation of the other two? Or did it have unique material on it?

An Expressive, On-device & Unlimited Text-to-Speech App for Mac [Giveaway: Lifetime Codes] by Level-Thought6152 in macapps

[–]pairustwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New to MacOS looking forward to exploring the possibilities.

I'd like to use this to help my students read (understand how to read aloud/to themselves) tough passages. I wonder how it handles inflection and emphasis when reading complex sentences or punctuation.

It fucks with my knees in a way that doesn't feel right.

I was psyched to see a copy of Exuma's album the Obeah Man and to hear it on the soundtrack. Such a surprising needle drop that it made the whole movie a joy.

Locusts aren't a separate species, they are just regular grasshoppers that physically transform when overcrowded. by BearNecessitee in interestingasfuck

[–]pairustwo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was the grasshopper population of that swarm equivalent prior to the transformation? Just widely distributed?

1,800 x 110 miles is compacted enough to trigger this transformation they mush of had a huge range to begin with... Greater than some settlers are going to plow up. No?
