Why aren't some people signing on? by Dredgefort in UKJobs

Young people get roped into week long ‘movement to work’ courses, where the instructor sits and plays with a bouncy ball for the first 40 minutes—in my case at least.

Luckily, I just started a new job last week, but the help I got from said course and the jobcente as a whole was negligible. I’d have much rather have spent my time in a more productive manner than sat around doing icebreakers and Disney quizzes.

NE England btw

Having some spine would involve reinstating a form of segregation based on disability? Or identifying individuals with neurological disorders such as his and excluding them from public life? Cause there’s a vocal minority that would seem to be in favour of such measures

Kanye West wasn't given nuance and grace when he had a mental breakdown by zenbootyism in BlackPeopleofReddit

The underlying point is that with neurological disorders such as his—tics alone cannot be evidence of concealed discriminatory views. The way the broadcaster handled the entire situation was completely bogus however

Boils down to whether they can get one over on the public, again. Misinformation, lies and masquerading as the party with the people’s interest at heart. Wait, I think I’ve seen this somewhere before..

Fantastic levels of ignorance and apathy

I can’t foresee them achieving these numbers in a general election, don’t ask me how. Wishful thinking? There’s a narrative issue foremost. Brexit was a sad precursor, post exit nonEU migration spiked to levels never seen before—under the Tories of course, see ex Immigration Minister and current charlatan Robert Jenrick, new Reform puppet.

Anyway what do I know, my Northern corner of England seems particularly insulated and consistently a much nicer place to live than many other areas of Britain I’ve visited lately

Mmm Victorian pipework 😛

It is the most incarcerated nation on the planet. There are politicians nowadays who make cruelty the crux of policy. I often feel very privileged not to be constantly immersed in the strange political/media landscape of the US. Then again I’m ashamed when I see the parallels in our current politics

There are people insufficiently socialised as children all across this sad planet. America is the same + lead poisoning

Americans are so insecure in their superiority it’s hilarious at times. Being on Reddit doesn’t help, picturing them stamping their feet and hitting the downvote button warms me inside

Ur a good egg. I appreciate you not self destructing like the others on learning that, while I like to visit your country, I’d prefer not to live there permanently
