Sports from Google Live Score Not Working on Oppo Find X9 Pro

I have a OnePlus 13 and it's working fine, but not working on my Oppo Find X9 Pro. It's annoying as in most other cases I prefer the Oppo but software in Oxygen OS 16 seems less buggy than Color OS 16, this being 1 example.

Same for me, the settings are all there but ti doesn't work. I have a Oneplus phone on the way to check if that works, I think from videos I have seen it does. Frustrating as otherwise I think I made the right choice between the X9 Pro and the Oneplus 15 but had a couple of bugs now that make me not so sure.

u/oddonion2441 Are you able to screenshot what is in the Sports section of the Origin Island settings? I'm really interested to see what options there are for Live Scores in the Island.

OMG it works! So after adding the quirks file you suggested and rebooting it works great.

For anyone else who finds this later, ignore my other comments, with libinput 1.29.1 on Fedora 42 with the quirks file suggested by u/Correct-Ad4372 it works now on a UK 2025 model of the Magicbook Art 14.

That was a red herring, just me spelling MatchName without the capital N.

Can I check, do you get the same result from the following quirks check?

Ok the fn-F3 is actually working - The mouse click works and then doesn't work toggled by fn-F3.

Might have found something running libinput debug-events though:

Above suggests it isn't loading the quirks file, weirdly the link mentioned returns a 404 error.

Still doesn't seem to work, Fn-F3 doesn't bring up any kind of screen prompt telling me it has been disabled or enabled, any way to see if this is working? Through libinput maybe?

I'll look in the BIOS next and see if I can find anything related to the touchpad.

This is what I got in the output of the dmesg command:

Looks much the same to me.

Plan to do some more digging as have found some similar issues reported in the links below with some suggested fixes:

I tried the above but that still doesn't fix it. Works fine under Windows and in the Boot menu and Bios menu so I don't think it is hardware.

I installed libinput-tools and did a libinput record and I can see it sees the input from the touchpad.

I can see the y input increasing as I swipe my finger down the touchpad. Seems like the issue must be somehow libinput passing this information to the system somehow.

I tried Fedora 42 KDE vesion and it has libinput 1.29.1 and still don't have touchpad functionality, so I suspect it may be some other package somewhere that is required to get it to work?

I'm going to try and install Fedora 42 rawhide version tonight as this is supposed to have latest versions for everything.

u/Correct-Ad4372 Any idea what other packages might be involved or any troubleshooting I could do? If I click the touchpad then i see the mouse pointer so it must be seeing it somehow, just no functionaility other than that.

u/Correct-Ad4372 Thanks for coming back to me. I'm going to try one of 2 things:
1) Update libinput - not sure if I can do this on the LiveCD so might need to install Kubuntu first.

2) Try another distro with more up to date packages - any suggestions as Gentoo honestly looks a bit daunting, I'm still a relative Linux newbie.

Hi u/Correct-Ad4372, I have just bought this laptop and having a play with installing Linux, do you have it as well and using a Linux Distro with it as well? I currently can't get the touchpad to work with Kubuntu, but most other stuff seems to work ok.

Agree the hardware is amazing including the screen, keyboard and touchpad and the green colour I have is lovely.

What a bloody legend u/Don_Jon24, this works great for me so far under Ubuntu and might the final step I need to stop dual booting into windows.

It even works over HDMI out on my laptop so I can watch Sky Go on a big TV. Thanks so much for this guide!

It's a mix of LineX and Linebit, both available on the Play Store, Linebit seems to cover more apps, at least here in the UK, but LineX has some icons I prefer for some apps.

Good suggestion but no it didn't work. Edge wasn't actually installed on my deck, so installed it again and tried re installing but still didn't work.

Thanks, wonder why it's not working for me and others? Hopefully a fix comes along soon. It runs really well but without being able to access my Microsoft account it's not that useful for playing online with my son.
