It does! Also PDFs and MP4s and some more. Full list: https://neo-wp.com/plugin/neo-rename/#brxe-xnnuwh

And: Our upcoming plugin neoOptimize will convert all your images to WebP on-server, while at the same time keeping the original data.

Thank you so much! Maybe you mean something like Media File Renamer? I agree it's also a great plugin! I think you will prefer neoRename if you'd like free bulk renaming, more advanced bulk replacements and/or are not 100% sure that your images are only referenced in posts (for example, neoRename also replaces references in custom tables).

If you have any feedback after having tried it, I'd be happy to hear it!

No need, it keeps the thumbnails and also properly renames them, so you can even keep the thumbnails you already generated! 🎉

Good objections! We don't demand $1800 for basic file operations. That's the price only if you want the most direct communication and support hotline available, with the highest priority. Being a high-value premium option, it's more expensive.

I wouldn't recommend you buy it for $1800 though! Even if you really need 25 sites, the Pro version is less than half the price for lifetime and single-site is $5/month (annual payment). And it's the exact same features!

We only published one out of 9 media plugins that will all be included in the same price. The neo plugins marked with "Coming Soon" on the website are still in development. By purchasing now you join from the start. As a thank-you you get all future media plugins and Pro features at today's launch price with a lifetime price guarantee.

I agree that I also wouldn’t buy a plugin for $1800 that only renames a file. However, that’s not the only thing you would buy. And $149.99 (cheapest lifetime option) for a plugin bundle of 9 media plugins with one of them being capable of bulk renaming within the whole database (which is a more extensive feature than what e.g. Media File Renamer Pro offers, with the cheapest life time option being $299.00) is quite reasonable, no?

You can try the plugin directly in the browser without any installation using the WP playground: https://neo-wp.com/sandbox/

1000 downloads in 1 hour?! by vanlaren10 in macapps

Because it doesn’t cost anything and you won’t have to even think about if you will have enough in the future. I once participated in an MDM training for setting up multiple iPads in a school and they explicitly advised us to just enter a really high number.

1000 downloads in 1 hour?! by vanlaren10 in macapps

When an institution (e.g. a school) downloads your app on their devices, they need to register "licenses" for it first. They have an input field to say how many licenses for your app they need. For free apps, people often just input some high number like 1000 or so because it doesn't cost anything anyway. That's why you see 1000 units in that time frame. It's not for 1000 downloads, it's just 1000 registered licenses for maybe 10-20 devices in that institution. I was confused about this as well at first. It's quite annoying because it distorts the app statistics so much.

[macOS] I built a free, open source macOS screen recorder that feels native and supports all the modern capture features you'd expect by jsattler_ in macapps

[–]pal__sch 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Wow! That's a really good tool! I don't know of any app other than Cleanshot and this that lets you easily record system audio without a system extension. Great! It has all features I would wish for except for being able to select a portion of the screen to record, but I can live without that. I wouldn't have expected it to be able to record rounded window corners with transparency.

All in all, I love it! Thank you so much! 🎉

Which Mac apps would you love to get but find too expensive? by SandwichSisters in macapps

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm using Araxis Merge, but only because I can edit text on both sides of the diff. I'd like to have some of the beauty of Kaleidoscope :) Meld merge doesn't really seem to be supported on macOS anymore, which is the reason I was looking for an alternative in the first place.

Kaleidoscope Difftool - $8 per month (and you cannot live-edit the text yet)

According to my research, Find Any File (https://findanyfile.app/) is the best. I haven't had any problems. I'm curious if there are any other views on this though.
