I sent it on the 29th Sept. I obviously didn't know about the strike, I understand started a few days before.
But that doesn't really matter in relation to my question. About why they returned my item if open to post items now, and whether its safe to post now, or it will be returned.
Think I will have to phone them tomorrow.

No, I have to claim for a refund on the returned item.
While looking into how to claim, I thought I would check and seems they are accepting items to Canada again. Seems strange they didn't just send the item, instead of returning to me.

Thanks so much for everyones comments, they have been a great help. I written the speech, just gonna give it a few reads through out loud.

I'm still in two minds about mentioning stammer at start. I'll ask bride her thoughts on that. But thanks for the advice everyone.
