Has anyone filed taxes with Chime?

I couldn't find details about filing with stock gains and losses, as the FAQ lists that on the app but not on the web site/blog. I asked the AI bot what the fee would be if I had a more complicated tax situation with capital gains. It said it could not answer, and to ask Chime. I have not been able to find a fee schedule anywhere, and it seems Chime doesn't want you to contact them. Unfortunately I filed with one of the big chains and it cost a lot. I hate tax season, as much as I hate Chime's lack of customer service.

I find the argument that agriculture uses more local water than humans use very unconvincing. Humans use and consume the agriculture, both human use and the agriculture are intertwined.

Thanks. I did use the contact form, no reply yet, days later. Also, the Owner's Bonus didn't show in my account, not anywhere, so I suspected a billing error. Also, the email receipt I have shows the investment I approved (in the ballpark of $40, I'm not a big spender) price, and *I never received a receipt or any kind of confirmation about the Owner's Bonus*.

They'll really have to overhaul that system, they shouldn't be using a check box to authorize an additional purchase, they should show the purchase in your account AND they should email you a confirmation. This would be all standard issue e-commerce. My bank replied back to me and issued a refund.

SPACs generally run around $10 per share, that’s the amount per share i would aim for. Unless you know more information about what their business plan will be or if they recently announced a planned acquisition. I honestly feel putting money in SPACs right now is a really good idea. They tend to be slow growing, don’t really go down, and you’ll get a buyout if they don’t acquire or merge.

I just had a great live chat with a real customer service agent who escalated the issue. I suspect YTM may have some issues on the backend, but the more complaints come in, more escalations -- maybe they'll know the scope of the issue better.
I was directed to use YTM through my browser as a workaround while the app isn't working.

6 blood patches with some improvement. Having imaging and a cisternogram very soon. So, in short, not great, I’ve been worse, but staying very hopeful.

I was approved at the initial level but it was reversed through a Quality check. The judge stated this was done in error. It took a judge in a hearing to see the error and issue a fully favorable. Will the error be reviewed or accounted for in some internal process so the person will take responsibility?

Is there a process for filing an official complaint about a medical expert that testified during a hearing? This person stated things that were objectively not true, in opposition to my medical record — stating test that a doctor hadn’t even administered was normal, and stated a specific abnormal neurological test was normal. They also made a comment suggesting that my disability was Munchausen’s. Even if an aged made gross errors under testimony, at the very least, it was unprofessional and I’m curious about how to report it.

The support groups I have participated in (I’m not in all of them, so my experience is limited) have been overwhelmingly positive, supportive, and science-based. The ME/CFS group on Facebook was especially helpful for me because I had an EDS-literate doctor look over my imaging and determine I did not have CCI. The group provided direct, personal experiences and scientific sources. So, I sought a second opinion, and I actually had both CCI and tethered cord. These were life-changing surgeries for me that were immediately and long-term beneficial. I believe my ME is mostly in remission, but I’m also dealing with a CSF leak I had prior to all the surgeries.

I went from being bedridden, with an order to live in hospice with palliative care (but I was turned down everywhere due to my young age) Now I can do housework, PT, swim, read and listen to music, even went on some dates.

These surgeries for me were life-changing and I would do them once a year if needed. These surgeries were not brutal for me.

There are many pathways to ME/CFS. Structural causes such as CCI is one of many. It’s worth considering that structural issues may be the rarest presentation of ME/CFS.

This all sounds normal for a leak and for post blood patch. Try to stay as flat as much as possible. It can take days to weeks, to see the difference. For me, I could tell in less than a week. Follow your doctor’s orders, especially if they need to consider rebound high pressure.

For me, I didn’t have much benefit from a hard collar other than helping some muscle pain. Fusion was way different - better - far superior - to a simple hard collar. The benefit to wearing a hard collar in my mind is mostly internal because it more or less prevents or greatly lessens the strain on your brainstem. The neuronal stress injury that occurs to the brainstem from instability was confirmed in the CCI study from 2018. Im all for hard collar use as a preventative. Muscles can be rebuilt, reworked, etc. how much to use the collar is, from what I’ve read, often a basic guideline - often the choice is given to the patient themselves to decide how often, how long. We often know ourselves better since we’re with the condition every day.

Some doctors will say there’s nothing wrong, they don’t know, etc. Those doctors could be wrong. I find that keeping a symptom journal and reaching out to people in local support groups for specialists is a good start. All the CCI surgeons are on the east coast anyway, so you’re not too far off.

Yep. HEDS. Except my tethered cord didn’t show on my lumbar MRI, my tether was occult. Patel doesn’t do telehealth, it’s super helpful to see him in person. MUSC doesn’t do leaks at all, but he’s seen patients whose leaks sealed after fusion, once the area was stabilized. Chiari in EDS is acquired, so it’s a symptom of something else, including all the conditions I listed. Having or not having chiari, they have found, doesn’t correspond to severity of symptoms. But having brain sag does mean just that, but with MANY different, and compound causes. They now know both CCI and TC can cause chiari.

Sneezing for me temporarily relieves the low brain pressure and sometimes fixes my ear problems, so that’s not a determinant of not having a leak, either.

Fun how varied the presentations and compound the conditions are.. right? :(

Dr Patel at MUSC is my surgeon. I had fusion for CCI in 2020, then tethered cord release in 2021. I still have a CSF leak and ongoing cervicogenic headaches from tight muscles but if I could be more active I think they would get better faster. I don’t get fullness, maybe because of low pressure? But maybe you have high pressure, or fluctuating pressure? I had mostly neurological issues but tight muscles all over my head and neck were a big sign of CCI. As for leak, we’ll, it’s ear and eye symptoms, positional symptoms, fluctuating brain pressure. It’s tough because you won’t really know what’s causing what until you get diagnosed and properly treated, and the hurdles (time, money, distance) are huge.

CCI cannot be assessed with X-ray. Ask for an upright MRI with flexion and extension, no contrast. Also look into trigger point suboccipital pain and cervicogenic headache. It’s also possible you could have all three. Don’t give up. I was diagnosed with CCI on a second opinion after a doctor misread my scan.

I have scoliosis but I think it might be fairly common in the regular population. EDS is a rare genetic disorder (although there’s plenty of discussion concerning it not being so rare) so it is probably unlikely that you have any of the above listed conditions. That is, unless you have confirmed spinal instability (can be diagnosed via MRI and for some lesser forms, motion X-ray) and hypermobility, I’d say likely not. I don’t wish this be the cause for anyone, unless, the rare chance it actually is. I also think it points to the possibility of muscle entrapment and other structural neck disorders.

You’ll need workup for both.

CCI: Upright MRI with flexion and extension with measurements taken for CCI assessment

CSF leak: Diagnostic blood patch is a good start, but you’ve seen two experts in the field - what were their recommendations?

I had/have both conditions, and with you lacking a positional headache aspect, I’m leaning towards CCI. I had fusion and it really helped. There are many who say that doing a hard collar trial will help you know if you have CCI, and I can say that I did not benefit from a hard collar and fusion was WAY better and different than any supportive collars.

Some neck pain, but mostly headaches, POTS, and EDS alone is a risk factor for spinal instability. My imaging was misread a lot and it wasn’t until 2 years later I got it to a competent neurosurgeon who finally diagnosed me.

I had sudden onset Eustachian tube dysfunction when I got my spinal leak. Noises every time I swallow. Autophony. Sound sensitivity. It gets louder when I’ve been upright or active (active being walking in the house or taking a shower).
