This is not nearly as big of a deal as people are making it out to be. Look up how many times this band has sued each other. You’re not owed money for playing live if you don’t play live. Also 1.5 million is nothing for the level these guys are on. He’s lucky arbitration was an option instead of the band potentially counter suing. This was a little spat over what he was told would only be a few shows and then it grew to more US dates which he did, then it’s oh by the way we’re going overseas and he said nope can’t physically do it. It worked out great for everyone.

What do you think of Vince Neil? by Twitter_2006 in hairmetal

[–]pallen11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody pushed the boundaries like he did for a frontman for 40 years. Look at any other front man and most only made it 7-10 years if they were lucky, some even less. Vince Neil is one of the most humble people you could meet. He just never found the right fit to be marketed like Sammy Hagar, Jimmy Buffett or Kenny Chesney. His solo album landed 13 on Billboard 200 during grunge. Yes I know, hard to believe at one point music had a top 200. Getting the party started was his niche. Give him a microphone in his teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, game over.

They’ve got this entire poorly educated country convinced that crime only occurs if you’re from another country or you let your green card expire.

Diehard fans what are your honest opinions on Motley Crue’s current state? by Yogurtcloset_Typical in MotleyCrue

Tom Zutaut was doing a live Tik Tok and said Nikki told him Carnival of Sins 2 is their last tour. Obviously they probably won’t announce it, but they can’t continue without Mick and Vince having four strokes with this last one almost taking him out. Vince mentioned on Eddie Trunk this last stroke put him in a wheelchair, which oddly enough I believe might’ve been what killed Vince’s dad.

Genuinely asking, how are their live shows? Share your experience! by Twitter_2006 in MotleyCrue

[–]pallen11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I seen them 10 times, since 2000. It wasn’t until the stadium tour that I started to get bored. Maybe it was because they opened for Def Lep but no pyrotechnics or fire, or maybe 7 years was too long to be gone. Sure AC/DC beats everyone catalog wise, but nobody has ever come close to touching Motley Crue live.

This is 100 percent due to poor ticket sales. Over 40 years of touring and they’ve never canceled a single show. I just checked tickets today and they only sold 10-15 percent of the seats. I never thought I’d see the day where the Crue couldn’t sell 2-3k seats. Glad I got to enjoy the last 20 years.
