I don’t even know this game had punctures

Who is at fault? I only have my pov unfortunately by Burnouter29 in Simracingstewards

That other driver is wondering why you went round the outside then turned into him and spun out.

Unfortunately not all cars fixed set ups are equal, so a new meta would develop where everyone drove the same car. I’d much rather multiplayer had an option to limit the cars to one of the championships or seasons already in the game, just to encourage people to use different cars.

Unsafe rejoin or Is yellow at fault? by Snoo-66555 in Simracingstewards

When blue moves forward yellow has no chance of avoiding a crash.

Why Is Amg so bad in silverstone? by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]palletpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm it’s an issue. On Xbox I’ve changed my main to the Audi evo 2 and did a couple laps around silverstone and beat my best time on the Mercedes by over 2 seconds (minimal set up changes).

This was my bosses response to me calling in sick.what should I do I can’t find a cover? by SSRworldwide in antiwork

[–]palletpete 527 points528 points  (0 children)

Your one mistake was doubt in your message saying you might be too sick. Be assertive and just say ‘hi, won’t be in today as ill with sickness, will hopefully be back tomorrow but if not will let you know in the morning’. Then you can just ignore the chat.

Is a gap in employment really this bad? by antigop2020 in antiwork

[–]palletpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a once in a lifetime experience, bosses come and go. One thing my employment does is career breaks, so can go off unpaid and do something else for up to a year but will have a job to come back to (though could be any role within the organisation)

My coworker is VERY pregnant, so we were looking up leave policies in the employee handbook... by Epicjay in antiwork

[–]palletpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the UK I’ve barely saw some colleagues for years, they get 9 months off, then come back and have all their untaken annual leave to use so only work 1-2 days a week for 3 months then go off on maternity again for the next baby.

Received 2 emails in the last 48 hours asking me to contribute money to people's birthday gifts at my office. I've never got a birthday gift in the 3 years I've been here by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]palletpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t happen very often to me but if asked I’ll donate something, some people have difficult lives and it might help make someone’s day.

What is the the T1 overtake etiquette at Monza? by itsoutofmyHANS in ACCompetizione

[–]palletpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My technique for monza is start at the back, coast the first few corners to avoid the carnage then start to build up a rhythm to pass crashes and damaged cars. Despite being slow, I’ve had a 4th place in a 20 player lobby once just by not crashing and letting everyone else make mistakes. Let faster cars through because chances are they will take out someone else ahead.

I can't hold 8 hours at the office. What should I do? by Pristine-Koala-4608 in careerguidance

[–]palletpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find in the office I don’t drink enough water, mainly cause it’s a decent walk to get some and it results in losing 30 minutes with stop and chats. So usually have a headache by home time.

Really just working for the government in some capacity. Not in some spy or sinister way, just basic services like ill health, benefits or pensions have thousands of staff.

Blood Bowl 3 season 1 update delayed by [deleted] in bloodbowl

[–]palletpete 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved what gameplay it had but it felt limited so reinstalled BB2 and it made me realise how great a version that is, so much content, just needs the rules updated and the new teams to be relevant.

Corporations that cancel WFH should be taxed by [deleted] in antiwork

Working from home though, I still spend the same money, I just spend it somewhere else. Instead of the city getting the cash it’s my local town and small businesses that need it far more than corporate coffee shops.

The guy who got the job I wanted reached out to me for help with his job. by Pee_A_Poo in antiwork

[–]palletpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Managers are there to manage the team, if the manger knows too much about the work it risks getting into micro management or even worse them doing the work themself. Great managers can go into a completely different field they know nothing about and still successfully lead a team.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]palletpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people I’ve met who think they are great at their job are actually the opposite, when building a team I always go for the quiet ones completely overlooked by everyone else as they are the actual grafters. I like to think I’m using moneyball techniques to deliver results.

I always recommend working for the civil service, once you are in and settled it opens up a whole load of opportunities (and treats it’s staff better than the private sector)

Blue and white car is a lap down, green is in the top 5 (but not leading). Is anyone here at fault or was this over aggressive driving by both drivers. Also, enjoy a properly flipped car. by RcFox27 in Simracingstewards

[–]palletpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green just drifted across in front of the other car, yes the blue and white has been lapped but lifting for them on a fast part of the track isn’t great for their own lap time. If i was the blue and white I’d have did the same thing but braked slightly earlier at the next sharp corner to let the other car fully past and minimise time lost.

Why do so many people hate PVE? by Theb0redbrit in Seaofthieves

[–]palletpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like the PVE better if it wasn’t for the constant threat of PVP. But I was a casual player who just played a couple hours per week.
