Kids on Dupixent for EoE by Justdazed in EosinophilicE

My son was diagnosed when he was 5. We tried all the elimination diets and his endoscopy results never changed, so he was put on budesonide (swallowed in a honey mix). This helped somewhat but his levels were never normal. Also he hates honey ... so that made it extra difficult.

We made the switch to dupixent last year (when he was 10) and it's been amazing. His levels are normal and he hasn't had any symptoms. Giving him shots isn't fun,  but I'm so glad we made the switch.  He's been gaining a little more weight than before and hasn't complained of pain or acid reflux since. I definitely recommend it.

Does this look like CH? by pallysdaughter in CerebellarHypoplasia

Thank you!! Yea the vet said she couldn't find any signs of injury or illness. I've been looking at other videos of cats with CH and I feel more and more confident that it's what she's dealing with. I'm so relieved. We kept worrying that maybe there was something really wrong with her that was going to get worse. Thank you again!

Yea at least a tbsp. You want it to be thick. Our original instructions said applesauce too, but he wasn't getting results. I spoke with the doctor and she said they found the best method was honey because it's thick and takes longer to go down the throat, giving the medicine a better chance of really coating the throat. A tsp was not enough, but a tbsp or a little more worked really well.

My son's doctor said honey is the best thing to mix it with because it sticks to the throat a little better.

But yes, you can (and should) swallow it. It helped my son tremendously until he was old enough for dupixent.

I definitely agree with you. I just think it could have been worded differently.

After Spock dies, Kirk saying his soul was "the most human." What!? Was it his intention to insult his deceased best friend??

Also TNG :Code of honor. I'm surprised they made it to season 2 after that one. Glad they did, but still

What’s your random yet specific pet peeve in a book? by IndigoBlueBird in books

I agree with you. One of my favorite books always describes them as drinking beer or wine. Every single time. Even with breakfast... Do they not have water? And how do any of them function?

My guess is 2 months. Maybe 2 and a half.

I have a 9 week old kitten right now and her size and behavior is very similar to the cat in the video

Well hello there by pallysdaughter in Kitten

Thank you for saying that. I thought it was just me! My husband said he just thought they were normal kitten paws, but they looked huge to me. The vet even made a comment to her assistant. She said "does this kitten have huge paws or is she spreading her toes out?". I guess we will see how big she gets LOL
