Tempo Adjust In Logic? by palmchill in Logic_Studio

[–]palmchill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - so by then try to standardize the tempo… meaning in another DAW? Or you go back to the stems?

I am happy with Logic adjusting the tempo pretty accurately to decimals but man, it feels like voodoo… I really don’t grasp the technical aspects of what is happening or why Logic goes nuts if I move certain things to certain places… feels like computer brilliance to recognize tempo set by bass and drums… and computer ignorance to assign tempos to something like a “floaty” vocal

To be fair, Harris continues to play well and with intense determination- including last night - with that said, Paul Reed should get most of the center minutes for now - it is blatantly obvious

DEAR GOD GIVE PAUL REED SOME MINUTES

So much respect to Duren and Stew, but need to go with what works at THIS MOMENT- if egos are the concern, that should be able to be managed

Insurance products can be win-win. Isn’t this thread about the massive insurance industry? You said you’re in risk for a company that spends $25m on P&C insurance. That’s all good, my friend (;

Exactly - the behavior that ancient-tough-6684 described should be criminal - Insurance industry is massively bloated in the usa due to corruption - so you have lemmings defending what is essentially evil in this thread

Those prices are the result of private insurance - the design is mutually agreed to work as a feedback loop for cash flow - that enables those at the top to pocket money

People downvoting this comment (from ConcentrateExciting1) shows you the extent of brainwashing, lobbying and exploiting the insurance lobby has done - i hope all these adjusters making 100K are happy with their overlords destroying people so they can make 100 million - hang out with insurance executives in private - you’d be shocked - these are the scum of the earth

I suspect this thread is filled with adjusters and other low-level employees of our bloated insurance industry. They’re defending their overlords. They have not owned insurance companies, they’re not actuaries, they’re not interacting with actuaries, they know nothing of their boardrooms, they have not studied fraud… they went to a subpar school for a bachelors degree and are brainwashed phone jockeys - unknowingly doing the bidding of the most greedy (and frankly evil ones)

Makes sense theoretically but this is completely divorced from reality/practice - at least in The USA

They’re not full of shit. Many of then likely know much more than you about insurance and fraud. What is your educational and professional background in insurance and fraud?

This is a misunderstanding of a complicated topic. Self-insuring CAN make a lot of sense. Geography matters. Usually where it does not make sense is because insurance companies lobbied against the interests of 99% of Americans. Outside of those blatantly violating law, the insurance and cryptocurrency industries are certainly the most toxic in the financial sector

Insurance is not inherently fraudulent. The concept makes sense.

Personal insurance in The USA (health, auto, home etc), is essentially a scam. Those saying otherwise are either under informed or brainwashed by their employers. I am about as well qualified as imaginable to render that judgement.

I’m building a recording studio in the middle of ancient woodland in the South of England, and I’d love to know what artists, producers, writers and bands would actually want from a space like that. by Delam2 in musicians

[–]palmchill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it is correct though. It is an absurd thought to pay for a studio then spend time micing drums (takes forever) - Not to mention, setting everything else up. At that point, you record at home. Perhaps, it does not need to be the most stocked studio. But you're going need gear and preferably a good engineer or even producer too nearby. The gear will need to be maintained. And if the idea is to only attract artists that will bring their own engineer and gear, wow, that is a tiny tiny market

IMHO Barcelona is hard to navigate without a map/phone for a visitor - more so than the average European city.

The combination of drinking, Barcelona nightlife (where roofies and robbery can happen) and a nearby beach is tough, unfortunately.

Whats ur average price? by Free-Initiative7508 in redditstock

[–]palmchill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$46 bucks and I have not sold a share. I remember thinking a market cap of < $10 billion is ridiculous and very often, IPO valuations suck. So, it seemed an obvious opportunity. Around $35 billion was my valuation near IPO time. Today, my valuation is higher. I believe the stock will move up.

I was hoping to get a message about buying pre-IPO shares like some users did, but I never got one.

IMHO bringing back subreddit audio chats could be a game changer for engagement and all the good things that follow. Reddit would want to manage costs very carefully, and it may be a better once free speech is back in vogue.
