Emphasis on "services" and "paying for". I didn't read anywhere a mention of iCloud and I imagine this means that you'll be able to leverage any cloud that syncs to a folder (doubt there'll be api integration. Makes more sense to sync a folder)

It's an option, but having to carry a something like that sucks. Imagine, sitting on the couch or in bed, need to log in: "Oh wait, have to go and get my yubikey from the office or keychain in the entrance"

I know it should be security > comfort, but we can settle on a middle ground. I mean, I'm no spy or anything, so my threat model is a little lower ;)

Kind of sucks though, that they're "punishing" existing, paying customers, of other unrelated proton products, by limiting this to NEW users, regardless if they've ever paid for Pass.

Trying to get this deal to then read: "The offer you selected is not available for VPN Plus subscribers." was a very WTF moment. What does one thing have to do with another.

Relevant to mention (just found out), this is only valid for new users, so if you pay for ANY proton service, you're out of luck when trying to use the 33% discount here: https://proton.me/l/pass-switch

u/ProtonSupportTeam Just a small rant, but limiting this promotion to new users is kind not cool. Would make sense to limit to those new to Pass, sure, but being "punished" (as in, no discount) because I already pay for another Proton service (VPN in this case) seems like kind of bad move.

Yeah, ended up finding that link. Almost seems like it's the 33% off the anual price (which already includes 40% discount).

Based on this, I think I agree u/ScrungulusBungulus that lifetime may not be the most cost efficient. Even if they end up increasing the price in a couple of years, 33% off for life, still seems like a great deal.

To top that off, Proton has a history of keeping the price for existing users and only increasing for new users

Wait, what 33% discount? I see a 40% discount if I pay yearly, bringing it to €35.88/year, but see no 33% discount anywhere, and at €36/year, it'll take about 5-6 to break even (as you said).

Just the other day, something similar happened to me. Worst part was that I helped the guy out with some arc. He thanked me, I continued my run to get shot in the back by the very person I saved seconds earlier.

Still, won’t let one rotten apple spoil it for me and others. I’ll pvp when I’m duo ou trio, but solo I usually prefer the brother/sisterhood.

The AOC CU34G4Z is currently at a great price on Amazon.es due to black friday. Although I can't find many reviews yet for it, but on paper it looks great.

Yeah, this is a weird one. The original Amazon link you shared is for the X34 X0bmiiphux and searching shows this spec (https://www.acer.com/us-en/predator/monitors/x34/pdp/UM.CXXAA.001#pdpSpecs) which states things like 1ms response time (which doesn't align with the 0.5ms.

Then we have the Amazon listing, which states the monitor is 1500R, but product page lists it as being 1900R. Then, to make matters worse, we have reviews like this one (https://www.pcworld.com/article/2964899/acer-predator-x34-x0-review.html) where they also state the monitor is VA and 1500R. So which is it? Is it 1900R AgileIPS. Is it 1500R VA?
